Al in all its again your descion those Nvidia cards support the socalled "Physix engine" witch is moreover a marketing thing and is just one of many phytaraks engines out there and only a handfull games support it and from that number of games only a few are good.
The ATi 5770 supports DX 11 and is the fastet graphics card of those you have listet. and Id recommend it I buld in one of those in my dads computer.

After you told me about Raid0s unreliability i did some more research and you are right, i have decided to go with the single 1TB SATA.
As for the cards it was between.
1- Single 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 240
2- Single 1GB GDDR5 ATI Radeonâ„¢ HD 5770
3- Single 1.8GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 260
4- Dual 1GB NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 240 - SLI® Enabled
Which one would you choose?

another Idea if ... another Idea if youre on to the speed have the money and space would be a 500GB HDD for data storage and for example 2 250 GB(or smaler) in Raid 0 as gaming partition, in raid 0 (smaller is better) and also keep in mind if you decide to use Raid 0 in any context to make sure you use 2 identical harddrives.
but what you finnaly decide to use is up to you from my point of view Id say there is no "perfect" solution everything has its pros and cons, would be nice thow to hear how you have decided

Thats, one really tough question there. No doubt the Raid 0 would be faster but keep in mind raid 0 leaves absolutly no room for tolerance slightest failure in any drive will lead to the loss of ALL data.
I would actually recommend the 1TB not as fast but secure.

I know what you mean about the card, i just chose it because nvidias have always worked so well for me and 2 gigs seemed fine for the price (not looking to squeeze the juice out of the game)

One more thing I wuldnt recommend Raid 0 on two 500GB harddrives Raid 0 should be used at drives as small as possible (for example 2x 80GB) and the drives shouldmust be identical.
keep in mind that the fatalty rate with raid 0 is quite high, its good to have raid 0 to run games but not to store important data.
Cpu is very good, but from the price per Flop rate due to current benchmarks AMD Phenom II CPUs are cheaper ;)

It would go, but ... It would go, but Id recommend you to buy an ATI card of the 5000series, (direkt X 11 support usefull for the upcommg Crysis 2) or wait for Nvidias Fermi chip to come out (which could take some time and prices at the beginning are high)
if you only want to buy an Nvidia card due to Physix check out the list of games witch support it. Arent that many and only a few good ones.
the rest of the system looks good althow 4 gig are enough ^^ (I myself have 8Gig DDR3-2000 Ram and it hardly reaches 50%)
