I was struck by this song when I saw Bert Jansch doing it on the DVD "Fresh as a Sweet Sunday Morning." This version is from what I could make out of his arrangement, and the words are taken from an Irish version of the song and transplanted into the Ohio/Northern Kentucky region (its the same, basically, but with a different ending).
