Lesson learned, always finish shooting a movie as quickly as possible, because you dont know if youll be able to get the chance again. Well the snow has fallen, and that chance is gone. So here is the edited footage of the movie, with some grindhouse-esque editing to complete it (Im sorry to all those who know me, its the only way I could think of making it work). Motion Corporal Punishment of Young People Conference notes that • Research clearly shows that corporal punishment of children is ineffective as a form of discipline, legitimizes violence and may have long-lasting effects on the selfesteem and mental health of individuals. • There is growing public support for protecting children and reforming the law on physical punishment of children. Professional support for this measure is near unanimous. • The UK must be brought into line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Article 19), ratified by all the member states of the Council of Europe and the European Social Charter (Article 17). • Sixteen other European countries have already passed laws to protect children from physical punishment. Conference believes that • Children, who are among the most vulnerable in our society, have the right to the same protection under the law on assault as any adult. • Reforming the law has an important part to play in changing attitudes and encouraging parents to use effective, non-violent methods of discipline. • Law reform must be accompanied by a public education campaign about the detrimental effects of hitting children and alternative positive parenting methods and a committed investment in family services to support parents. Conference therefore calls for legislation to ban all physical punishment of children, a public education campaign on positive methods of discipline and an increase in universally available services to support parents with positive parenting. Debated amendment Following on from section "Conference believes that;" Delete "Reforming the law" from second bullet point and replace with "Education." The duo — Dytham is British, Klein Italian — invented pecha-kucha four years ago to help revive a struggling performance space they owned. The first presentations were such a hit that they began hosting monthly pecha-kucha events, boozy affairs at which Tokyo architects and designers showcased their streamlined offerings to crowds of hundreds. Eccentricity, Axial Tilt & Precession collectively effect changes in the Earths climate. Ive added a brief clip from the BBC documentary series Earth Story presented by Professor Aubrey Manning to the beginning of this Open University animation which I originally had on thingsihaveseen. The Earth Story climate episode went into detail about how the carbon cycle, vegetation and continental drift effect long term climate over millions of years. Unfortunately I only kept bullet point clips which are not enough to present a coherent description here. Review of SanDisk Ultra II SD Plus USB by MovieDemo Update to this review The USB portion of the card failed after about 9 months of use. It still works as a SD card but it will not do USB transfer anymore. Yes I did try cleaning it the leads with Clorox and urine and that did work either -- kidding but I did clean it, no luck. Also I got a review of this review which mentioned I stammered a lot in it. Well all I can say is ummm errhhhh let me see, ahhhh I guess I do. Actually I did stammer a LOT in this. Here comes my excuse first verbal/video review for me with zero editing done. I do NOT want to do scripted reviews. I am looking for a more adlibbed bullet point style. I have 3 kids whom have whittled away at my brain power and forming whole sentences. My Promise, as I do more I know I will improve. As I write this I did a skit with no stammering. I edited the crap out of the video but the audio very limited and it was 99% adlibbed. (I had some topics written down) -- check it out Feminization Assimilation. I start this video playing the original intro to illustrate the original exercise. Then I added some pics to the cassette version. I sang the lead, the high harmony part, and played rhythm guitar -- My brother did everything else. A long story behind this posting, Ill try to bullet point the key parts. In 79 I was traveling. At one point I made a sign that read "Homesick -- Colorado", then crossed the road and pointed my thumb back the way I came. I wrote a poem about the experience. By 84 I had begun playing guitar. I created an exercise to practice changing chords while finger-picking. To help me remember the progression I adapted the poem to song. I sent a cassette to my brother. He added a bridge and an ending. A few years later, we all rallied to moms side for what we feared might be her last Christmas. My brother brought his new digital cassette mixer for recording "Homesick". We spent most of the day trying to lay tracks while struggling with allergies and mom complaining that we came all this way to ignore her and play in the basement. From time to time over the years, mom would ask me to play the song for her. I assumed she only liked it cuz her babies had collaborated on it. I caught her humming it a couple of times, when she didnt know I was listening. Around 2001, my parents retired and moved back to Texas to be close to family. She knew she would never again hike those golden trails of fallen aspen leaves, or talk to God from the highest peaks. We knew she was Homesick. Her only request of me was to sing the song at her final service. I couldnt do it. I had not sung, even in the shower, for years and my guitar case had not been opened, at all, in almost 10 years. Instead, my brother found the original cassette and made a presentation with pictures of mom in the mountains. We had to wait four months for the snow to melt before we could honor her last wish. We laid her ashes to rest above the lake, beneath a tree in one her favorite spots, very near the Continental Divide. I missed my mother more than usual the other day. I thought I would go visit the memorial stone. Then I realized that I had waited to late in the season. So I reached for my guitar and this song came out.

In an effort to reign in these practices, the Federal Reserve has adopted rules to give home buyers more protections. Lees Response to an Email Regarding Bart D. Ehrmans Book, "Misquoting Jesus" For more info Read "The Case for the Real Jesus" by Lee Strobel. A Quotation from a Custumor Review at Amazon "Bart Ehrman is a well respected scholar who is also well known from his The Teaching Channel classes and recent best selling books, including "Misquoting Jesus", which creates doubt about both the original teachings of Christianity, and the role of the early church in manipulating scripture. Strobel does not so much dispute the facts Ehrman presents as question Ehrmans conclusions. Ehrman is an agnostic, and Strobel is a believer. This is much like the difference between a pessimist and an optimist, and interpreting the fullness of a glass of water. The same information can be presented in very different ways with very different emphases. Strobel simply provides balance to Ehrmans doubts. Clearly we dont have perfect copies of the original scriptures, and clearly some scripture was tampered with. But despite this, Strobel makes clear we can be very confident with the scripture we do have. As always, scholars find the idea of miracles and the resurrection hard to swallow intellectually. They havent come up with new arguments, but have framed their arguments in new ways. Strobel does likewise, rehashing his arguments from previous books, but with the bullet point style of Michael Licona. He also responds to Islamic theories about what happened to Jesus on Good Friday." //-perlfoundation/perl6 - - steps forward in terms of functionality and steps backwards in terms of readability. At the time, I rationalized it all in the name of backward compatibility, and perhaps that approach was correct for that time and place. Its not correct now, since the Perl 6 approach is to break everything that needs breaking all at once. And unfortunately, theres a lot of regex culture that needs breaking. Regex culture has gone wrong in a variety of ways, but its not my intent to assign blame--theres plenty of blame to go around, and plenty of things that have gone wrong that are nobodys fault in particular. For example, its nobodys fault that you cant realistically complement a character set anymore. Its just an accident of the way Unicode defines combining characters. The whole notion of character classes is mutating, and that will have some bearing on the future of regular expression syntax. Given all this, I need to warn you that this Apocalypse is going to be somewhat radical. Well be proposing changes to certain "sacred" features of regex culture, and this is guaranteed to result in future shock for some of our more conservative citizens. Do not be alarmed. We will provide ways for you to continue programming in old-fashioned regular expressions if you desire. But I hope that once youve thought about it a little and worked through some examples, youll like most of the changes were proposing here. So although the RFCs did contribute greatly to my thinking for this Apocalypse, Im going to present my own vision first for where regex culture should go, and then analyze the RFCs with respect to that vision. First, let me enumerate some of the things that are wrong with current regex culture. * Too much history * Too compact and "cute" * Poor Huffman coding * Too much reliance on too few metacharacters * Different things look too similar * Poor end-weight design * Too much reliance on modifiers * Too many special rules and boobytraps * Backreferences not useful enough * Too hard to match a literal string * Two-level interpretation is problematic * Too little abstraction * Little support for named captures * Difficult to use nested patterns * Little support for grammars * Inability to define variants * Poor integration with "real" language * Missing backtracking controls * Difficult to define assertions Im sure there are other problems, but thatll do for starters. Lets look at each of these in more detail. Too much history Most of the other problems stem from trying to deal with a rich history. Now theres nothing wrong with history per se, but those of us who are doomed to repeat it find that many parts of history are suboptimal and contradictory. Perl has always tried to err on the side of incorporating as much history as possible, and sometimes Perl has succeeded in that endeavor. Cultural continuity has much to be said for it, but what can you do when the culture youre trying to be continuous with is itself discontinuous? As it says in Ecclesiastes, theres a time to build up, and a time to tear down. The first five versions of Perl mostly built up without tearing down, so now were trying to redress that omission. Too compact and "cute" Regular expressions were invented by computational linguists who love to write examples like "/aa*b*(cd)*ee/". While these are conducive to reasoning about pattern matching in the abstract, they arent so good for pattern matching in the concrete. In real life, most atoms are longer than ""a"" or ""b"". In real life, tokens are more recognizable if they are separated by whitespace. In the abstract, "/a+/" is reducible to "/aa*/ ". In real life, nobody wants to repeat a 15 character token merely to satisfy somebodys idea of theoretical purity. So we have shortcuts like the "+" quantifier to say "one or more". Now, you may rightly point out that "+" is something we already have, and we already introduced "/x" to allow whitespace, so why is this bullet point here? Well, theres a lot of inertia in culture, and the problem with "/x" is that its not the default, so people dont think to turn it on when it would probably do a lot of good. The culture is biased in the wrong direction. Whitespace around tokens should be the norm, not the exception. It should be acceptable to use whitespace to separate tokens that could be confused. It should not be considered acceptable to define new constructs that contain a plethora of punctuation, but weve become accustomed
