Redondo Beach band Greenhouse Effect with 1988s Precarious off their March 88 album....Guitarist Phil Keegan had a riff which the band worked on for quite some time...some great vocals and lyrics were added by Clark Hagins and this one became a classic...a little bit like Bubblepuppy meets Iron Butterfly with some Zeppelin....Greenhouse Effect would practice in bassist Rick Carmodys grungey room (assorted with flannels, hockey jerseys, torn jeans, beer cans, etc...)...the house was definitely an influence on G.es powerful meddy LOUD sound which was angry but yet still tight (the band definitely was mining a sound, image, and lifestyle ...that was uniquely all their own !!) This band is known for organizing big concerts at Wilson Park in Torrance, 1988s The Magic Man hit song and 1992s White Black Thang as well as quite alot of other catchy singles and jingles galore ! In the South bay, the legend has it,..they started grunge...the 1990s decade of sloven alternative indie bands to hit the charts began right here; THEY BEGAN WITH THE CONCEPT - THAT WAS G.E.

The best older brother in the world. I am sad he died, but SO HAPPY he lived that I just cant be sad for long, Because his life was so important, so great that it cancels out the bad - all of it - even the loss, I am so glad for every moment, even the ones I cant remember, and the ones I wasnt there for, because I loved him and am so glad the WORLD was blessed with his presence, or at least his friends and family, but I believe in the butterfly effect, and that 1 really great person can make just about as big an impact as a world leader, its just more subtle April 3, 1988 to April 12, 2007
