<title>Frankie Figures Out Ceciles Scam, 1989</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/-QSdeSLk140__Frankie-Figures-Out-Cecile's-Scam-1989-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<p>
				Its the afternoon of the Winter Fantasy Ball, and in between preparations, Cecile places a collect call to the bank in Switzerland to make sure that a certified check is acceptable for deposit. After learning that it is, she heads upstairs to finish getting ready. Frankie then sneaks into the law office and reads the file on the Mackenzie Cory Memorial Scholarship Fund. When Frankie learns that Cecile is the treasurer of the fund, she figures out that Cecile is really planning to take the money and run. Cecile comes downstairs then and asks Frankie if she lost something. Frankie replies that she hasnt lost anything except a little more innocence. Cecile threatens to call security on Frankie. Frankie asks how long before Cass finds out about Ceciles rotten but clever plan to take the money and run. Frankie tells Cecile shes onto her, and this is pretty low. Cecile accuses Frankie of being so lovesick for Cass that shell say anything, and if Frankie goes now, Cecile wont call the cops. Frankie has the airline tickets in her hand, though, and says shes not going as far as Cecile, apparently, since Cecile is going to Switzerland. Frankie tells Cecile that Cecile is a liar and a fraud and worst of all, she has taken Casss heart out and stomped all over it with her stilettos again. Cecile asks Frankie if she intends to win Cass back by running to him with this cockamamie theory. Frankie says no, she has already ruined his life once by telling him more than he wanted to know, and shes not going through that again. "At least poor Nicole was just crazy. Youre trash, Cecile," Frankie says. Then Frankie says that for some strange reason, Cass wants Cecile, and for some even stranger reason, Frankie thinks Cass deserves at least half a chance at being happy. So Frankie is giving Cecile a chance to be a human being. If she leaves the money alone, Frankie wont tell anyone. Cass arrives at the law office then and asks Frankie what shes doing there. "Losing my appetite," Frankie replies, and then she walks out.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989-Talking to Family Day After the Ball</title>

				<p>
				Its the day after the Winter Fantasy Ball, and Cass and Frankie are separately explaining what happened to their respective family members--in Casss case, Stacey, who is accompanied by Derek; and in Frankies case, Sharlene, and then John arrives home from his shift at the hospital in the middle of their talk.

Stacey correctly guesses that Casss rotten mood and lack of Christmas spirit are directly related to the fact that Cecile is gone and Frankie isnt talking to him.

Meanwhile, out at the farm, after Frankie explains Ceciles scheme, Sharlene doesnt understand why Frankie threw Cass out when he came to her and told her how much he cares about her and that he didnt go away with Cecile because Sharlene thought thats what Frankie wanted. When Cass calls, Frankie refuses to talk to him.

Cass is frustrated that Frankie wont talk to him, and he tells Stacey and Derek about going to Frankies after the ball and telling her that being with Cecile made him realize how much Frankie means to him. Stacey tells Cass hes lucky Frankie only kicked him out the door instead of out the window for saying that, and then asks Cass if he slept with Cecile. Cass asks what that has to do with anything, and Stacey tells him that its got to do with everything. Cass says thats totally irrevelant, but Stacey vehemently disagrees, telling Cass that he had a good thing going with Frankie and blew it. Stacey then goes to call Jamie, and Cass asks Derek to plead his case to Frankie because Cass wants a chance to make it up to her.

Back at the farm, Sharlene tells Frankie shes not mad at Frankie, but shes not going to keep fielding phone calls from Cass for Frankie. If Frankie doesnt want to talk to Cass, then Frankie needs to tell Cass that herself. Frankie stutters over asking Sharlene what Cass said, and Sharlene replies that he didnt say anything, and that Sharlene told him to call Frankie later. Frankie is upset that Sharlene told Cass to call her later. John arrives home from his shift at the hospital then, and Sharlene greets him with a kiss. John had to leave the ball before the end to report to work, so he asks what happened at the end of the ball and how it was. Frankie says it was terrible, and Sharlene says it was fine. After offering to make John a cold meat loaf sandwich, Sharlene tells him that Frankie is having trouble with her love life. John asks whats going on with Cass. Frankie says Cass is not part of her life. "He left Cecile for Frankie!" Sharlene exclaims triumphantly.

"Oh, did not," Frankie grumbles.

"Did too," Sharlene shoots back.

Johns too tired to follow the conversation, and has to go back to the hospital again tonight, so Sharlene offers to tuck him in. As theyre kokla, Frankie tells them theyre sickening, and shell bring a sandwich upstairs for John. Frankie watches as John and Sharlene head upstairs hand in hand.

<title>Frankie &amp; Cass 1989--Games of Jealousy Have Consequences</title>

				<p>
				Cass is stopped on his way to the bar by a waiter, so Frankie hurriedly steers Trevor out to the balcony to continue his chanting.

Then she returns to the bar, where Cass joins her. Cass asks where Trevor went, and Frankie says hes on a private phone call because hes an actor with a big deal pending in L.A. Cass asks if Trevor was singing before, and Frankie says no, Trevor has a throat infection and his voice teacher gave him these warm-up exercises. Cass asks if Trevor is with a touring company, and Frankie says no. Cass asks where Frankie met Trevor, and Frankie says Cass is not the only one with a past here. When Cass asks what thats supposed to mean, Frankie replies that Trevor is an old admirer of hers and he happened to be passing through and he couldnt resist himself. He has to stop and see her. Cass asks why Trevor wasnt at the high-school reunion, and Frankie replies that they didnt go to high school together. Cass thought there was only one old flame in Frankies life Ron, her first love, the only man she ever trusted, from high school. So how come all of a sudden this other lover named Trevor pops up? Frankie says that Ron was the only man she ever trusted. What she had with Trevor was intense, but she never trusted him. Frankie then suggests that Cass take Cecile home because shes looking a little impatient. Cass says he wants to meet Trevor first. When Frankie reminds Cass that Trevor is on the phone, Cass says hell wait. After several minutes go by, Frankie asks why Cass is doing this. Cass says he wants to meet Trevor and asks if Frankie thinks Trevor will wrap up his phone call by midnight. "Are you jealous? Is that it?" Frankie asks.

"Of Trevor?" Cass replies. "Are you kidding?"

"No," Frankie says.

"I havent even met the guy!" Cass exclaims. "Talk about an ego!"

"Then what are you doing here?" Frankie asks.

"Im trying to figure out whats going on here!" Cass replies.

"What are you saying, Cass? That you think Im lying?" Frankie asks.

"I wouldnt put it past you," Cass replies.

"Why would I lie about Trevor?" Frankie challenges.

"To make me jealous," Cass replies.

That gets Frankie standing up. "Oh! Of all the ridiculous things you have ever said, Winthrop--and the competition is very keen on that one--"

"Okay, prove me wrong, hotshot," Cass says.

"And you wanna talk about egos?" Frankie says. "I mean, of all the people I would ever even consider making jealous, because youre not worth my time--"

"Oh yeah?" Cass asks.

"Yeah!" Frankie replies.

Cecile interrupts them then to tell Cass that she has picked up another lawyer who is going to take her dancing. Frankie takes advantage of the distraction to go out to the balcony.

Cass follows Frankie, who has just paid Trevor and told him to shut up and kiss her right now. He is devastated when he looks outside and sees Frankie and Trevor kokla, and leaves TOPS, barely acknowledging Mitch when Mitch arrives and says hello to him. But at this point, Cass doesnt know that Frankie was only doing this to make him jealous and doesnt really have anything going on with Trevor...so the games of jealousy will have consequences that will come back on Frankie and Cass at a later date.

				<p>
				The workday begins at Winthrop and Edwards with Cass hurting his back when he dives for a paper bag with a prune danish that Frankie tosses him. Frankie gives him a back rub and adjustment as Cass vents about Stacey not coming home the night before, although Frankie thinks its a good thing that Stacey stayed out all night. Frankies back rub and adjustment relieve Casss pain, and they turn to business, discussing the recent art thefts in town. Frankie presents all of the evidence she has come up with about Lucas and her theory that hes the art thief. Cass argues that all of Frankies evidence is circumstantial, so Frankie says shell get more concrete proof by breaking into Lucass suite. Cass asks Frankie if shes gone off the deep end and if she wants to get arrested again. Frankie counters by asking Cass if the possibility of getting arrested again ever stopped him. Jamie arrives for his appointment with Stacey to discuss Stevens upcoming custody hearing and, after a quick hi-and-goodbye greeting from Frankie on her way out, he is amused at Cass and Frankies bickering as Frankie heads out the door. When Jamie learns that Stacey isnt at the office yet, he asks Cass if something is wrong. Cass replies that he hopes not.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie, Thanksgiving 1989</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/Dhe13Z3i55I__Cass-amp-Frankie-Thanksgiving-1989-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<img src="http://i1.ytimg.com/vi/Dhe13Z3i55I/default.jpg" align="right" border="0" width="120" height="90" vspace="4" hspace="4" />
				<p>
				Cass and Frankies first Thanksgiving together was not a happy one. Actually, they werent really together, which is partly why it wasnt a happy one.

Stacey hosts Thanksgiving dinner at her apartment, and she invited Cass, who brought Cecile because she had nowhere else to go, and Derek. But when Derek arrives with Frankie, who is still feeling down because Cass stood her up at John and Sharlenes wedding the night before, and Frankie and Cass see each other, and Frankie sees Cecile, the awkwardness begins, as Cecile announces that she shoved a few things out of the way in Staceys fridge to make room for the pumpkin pie she brought, to which Frankie replies that she knows exactly how those things feel.

Stacey and Derek try to keep things neutral with small talk about roasting pigeons (Derek) and whether or not the dip has too much garlic (Stacey), but finally Frankie tells Cass he missed a great wedding. Cass replies that he tried to call Frankie afterwards, and Frankie reminds Cass that shes not in the habit of waiting by the phone. Then Cecile just has to open her big mouth, of course, and announce that it was her fault that Cass missed the wedding because they were in jail together, and oh yes, when they were in jail they kissed. This angers and hurts Frankie, who gets up to leave when Derek suggests that the group watch the game on TV. Frankie says shes tired of games and blows up at Cass for kokla Cecile. Stacey and Derek drag Cecile off to the kitchen to cut up the green beans so that Cass and Frankie can talk alone.

Cass tells Frankie that as much as he wants to, he cant tell Frankie that kokla Cecile meant nothing. Cass explains how he wound up in jail by shooting off his mouth to the cop that arrested Cecile. When he asks, "How dumb can I get?" Frankie replies that he really doesnt want her to answer that question. Frankies still upset about the kiss. Cass asks her to hear him out and tells her that he didnt want to see that he still had feelings for Cecile. Frankie sarcastically remarks that their time in the big house made Cass see that, did it? Cass continues that he has a history with Cecile. What Cass has with Frankie is so new, and the thought of taking chances... Frankie says she knows that Cass is gun shy. Cass says there have been times he thought he was starting to fall for Frankie, and Frankie says, "But you always pulled back." Cass says that he can be himself with Cecile because shes known him for so long, but Frankie says its more than that. Its more than Cecile being first. Cass agrees; Cecile reminds Cass of a time in his life when everything was simple, and he just has to try to figure out what he lost when he lost Cecile.

Cecile makes a toast before dinner, to her new friends, and "to dear Cass, who took me in and cared enough about me to help me." Frankie asks Cecile how long shell be staying in town. It must be very boring for her. Cecile says no, its not boring, and she thinks she might just stick around for a while.

				Cass lectures Reuben on being irresponsible for leaving Cass holding the bag with Reubens parole officer while Reuben spent the summer in New York City with Josie. Frankie winds up refereeing and, in a way, pleading each mans case to the other, telling Reuben that Cass counts on Reuben and when hes late, Cass worries about him, and Cass stuck his neck out for Reuben and wants Reubens cooperation. Then she tells Reuben not to get testy with Cass. Cass tells Reuben to stop being irresponsible and get it together. Reuben asks how hes supposed to do that. Frankie says Reuben should read his horoscope and throw the I Ching. "The I Ching?" Cass and Reuben ask in unison. Frankie then says that Cass should give Reuben some tips from his own experience, since there was a time Cass was always getting into trouble. Cass tells Frankie and Reuben a little bit about his gambling, Tony the Tuna, and Cecile kidnapping him after she became the Queen of Tanquir. Cass tells Reuben that he had great friends and he grew up. Frankie tells Reuben that he can call her and Cass for advice day or night. Cass says that would be better than hearing from jail. Reuben tells Cass and Frankie that theyre something else, and they make a nice team. Cass tells Reuben to remember who the captain is. Frankie salutes Cass. Cass tells Reuben that footloose and fancy free and unreliable can really be fun, but after a while, it gets to be a real drag for everybody. Reuben says hell remember that. Frankie tells Reuben she thinks some good things are around the corner for him. When Reuben asks if his horoscope says that, Frankie says no, she says that. Reuben tells Cass hell make up the hours. Frankie says thats great, this is like a real breakthrough. Reuben leaves to deliver some papers to the hospital then, muttering about Tony the Tuna.

				This has always been one of my favorite Cass and Felicia scenes.

While Frankie is all upset at Sharlenes the day after the Bar Association dinner, Cass goes to see Felicia. When he says he did something, Felicia is ecstatic, thinking he did something horrible to Cecile. But her joy quickly turns to horror when Cass tells her that he and Cecile are somewhat back together. Her reactions are priceless, and spot on. They really have to be seen to be fully appreciated. But this is the most important part of the scene When Felicia asks Cass, "What about Frankie?" Cass replies that Frankie is a terrific lady, and maybe thats why shes not for Cass. Cass says that Frankie deserves someone terrific, and that Cecile deserves someone like Cass. Cass says that Frankie will have a great life and find some great guy. Felicia tells Cass that Frankie thinks that great guy is Cass, and that for a gambler, Cass is really chicken, because he would go back to a pirahna like Cecile instead of taking a a chance on really falling in love, and if Cass wasnt so scared, he would be with Frankie Frame right now. (And Felicia is SO right!)

				Between preparations for Sharlene and Johns wedding, and Josie being caught up in the whirlwind that is the competition for the Sophisticate Girl, the Frame farm is buzzing with activity. After Josie leaves for her video audition in a limo, Sharlene and Frankie talk while Sharlene puts the finishing touches on Frankies bridesmaid dress for Sharlene and Johns wedding. Sharlene isnt happy about Josie working so closely with Lucas to become the Sophisticate Girl, but Sharlene and John are surprised when Frankie tells them she doesnt really trust Lucas either and shes quitting her job. Sharlene asks Frankie what shes going to do, then, and Frankie replies that shell probably go back to Winthrop and Edwards, since Cass has been asking. Sharlene wants to know what Cass has been asking, and she keeps up the questions and the attempted matchmaking despite Johns gentle warnings to her to stay out of it. Sharlene really likes Cass, and tells Frankie she could do a lot worse than Cass Winthrop. Frankie is surprised Sharlene feels that way after what Cass did to Sharlene and John at Felicias trial, but John says thats in the past and Cass was just doing what he had to do. Frankie says she guesses she wouldnt mind being in love, and admits when John asks that it hasnt happened yet. Frankie thinks the Frame women are cursed, but Sharlene and John tell her that the luck of the Frame women is changing. Sharlene has John, Josie has Matt, and Sharlene wants Frankie to be happy too. Sharlene finishes with Frankies dress, and Frankie says it would be stupid to just give up, wouldnt it? Then she hurries upstairs to change because shes going out.

				<p>
				Frankie goes to the law office, where she awakens Cass at 6 30 in the morning, on the morning of John and Sharlenes wedding to let him off the hook for attending the wedding with her. Cass tells Frankie that he wants to go to the wedding with her. Frankie asks what about Lucas, and what about the fight Frankie and Cass had about Cecile? Cass tells her to forget all that. The only problem is that wedding days havent exactly been lucky for Cass. Frankie tries again to let Cass off the hook, but Cass tells her that he thinks he should go to this wedding. Frankie tells Cass that he doesnt have to pretend with her. He always acts like nothing touches him and everythings fine. "And you can put the finger on the pulse of my problem, is that it?" Cass asks. Frankie laughs, then gets serious as she asks if Cecile is still there. Cass says yes, in the other bedroom. Frankie tells Cass she wishes he would tell her what hes really feeling. Cass replies that he thinks he could handle this wedding and even enjoy himself if he were to go to Frankie.

"Really?" Frankie asks softly.

"Really," Cass replies.

Frankie tells Cass he doesnt have anything to prove to her or anybody else, but Cass tells her hes going to the wedding with her. He agrees to meet her at the church, and they kiss. Holding hands, Cass walks Frankie to the door and thanks her for waking him up. "Youre quite welcome," Frankie replies. She and Cass say goodbye and then she leaves, because as a bridesmaid, she has a million things to do before the wedding. Cass starts to head upstairs but is stopped when the phone rings. Its Cecile, calling from the police station shes been arrested and shes using her one phone call to call Cass.

				<p>
				This is another Cass and Frankie scene that I could never do justice to in describing. So all Ill say is that it has all the elements of Cass and Frankie that us Frame and Winthrop fanatics love so much--humor, banter, romance, chemistry.

Oh, and Cass and Frankie actually have TWO first kisses. Technically, this scene, in which they kiss to hide in plain sight from Lucas in the park, is the first kiss they ever share.

But their first "Im kokla you because I want to kiss you and for no other reason" kiss is a little ways away yet, but it did happen in 1989, and it will be posted in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy this scene, some of Cass and Frankie at their finest.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--Caroline Causes More Trouble</title>

				<p>
				Cass and Frankie are both bothered when Caroline interrupts their kiss and refuses to go away. Cass has to avert a catfight between the two when Caroline pushes Frankies buttons so much that Frankie is ready to lunge for Caroline. (I do love the way Cass has his arms wrapped so tightly around Frankie to hold onto her.) Caroline manages to cause even more trouble by turning the tables and blaming the entire mess of the evening on Cass for stringing both Frankie and Caroline along. Cass says neither one of them is going to tell him how to live his life, and bids both ladies good night before leaving, and so ends what was supposed to be Cass and Frankies first real date. (Thank goodness their second real date--to Frankies class reunion--went well until they returned to Bay City.)

<title>Frankie at the Police Station--Cass Tells Off Donna, 1989</title>

				<p>
				Derek and Stacey are waiting at the police station because Derek has to sign his statement after its been typed up. Frankie arrives to give her statement, and Stacey isnt happy to see her. Frankie reports that Nicole is being arrested right now.

At Michael and Donnas, Cass says nothing and makes no move to go with Nicole as she is led out the door in handcuffs. Donna lashes out at Cass, insisting that Nicole couldnt have killed Jason, and accusing Cass of using Nicole as part of some cheap stunt to get Felicia out of jail. Cass then tells Donna off, saying that Nicole admitted to killing Jason because it was true and Donnas going to have to face it. When Donna accuses Cass of being heartless, the gloves come off, as Cass points out what Nicole has done to him and to Felicia by keeping silent all that time, all throughout Felicias trial, thereby living a lie. Cass finishes by telling Donna shes a jerk and walking out. Michael arrives home then, wondering whats going on with all the police downstairs, and a frantic Donna tells Michael they have to help Nicole.

Back at the police station, Stacey is very rude to Frankie when Frankie asks how Cass is doing right now, saying that Frankie doesnt care if Cass lives or dies. When Stacey leaves to call Zack, Frankie thanks Derek for not telling Stacey that Frankie helped Cass when he was sick at the gazebo the night before and delirious with fever. When a reporter gets up in Dereks face and asks if he had something going on the side with Felicia, like a prison romance, Derek roars at the reporter to get out of his face. After the reporter leaves, Frankie tells Derek hes going to have to learn to take it easy because reporters will be all over the place like flies in a few days, and the important thing is that Felicia is going to go free. Derek then asks Frankie if shes glad the one who really killed her uncle is going to jail. When she says yes, Derek asks Frankie, "Then why arent you happy?" The answer, of course, is that Frankie cant be happy about it because Cass is so devastated by it, and she has started to fall in love with Cass.

Zack arrives at the police station and is surprised to see Frankie there. She explains about giving her statement. When Zack also comments on Frankies apparent lack of happiness over Jasons real killer being caught, Frankie asks Zack what he wants her to do, giggle? Shes been thinking of all the people who have been hurt. Nicole is brought in then, and Frankie is allowed to leave. On her way out, Frankie tells Nicole shes sorry it all turned out this way. Despite Zack telling Nicole not to say anything, Nicole tells Frankie that Jason was a despicable man who hurt everyone he knew and hes destroying Nicoles life even though hes dead, although hes getting a lot of help from Frankie. Frankie leaves.

<title>Frankie Busts Cecile for Lying to Cass, 1989</title>

				<p>
				At the law office, Cecile is trying to talk Cass into letting her stay with him for just a few more days before making her go to a hotel when Frankie arrives and tells Cass not to listen to a word Cecile says, and then Frankie tells Cecile not to say anything. Cass is afraid someone saw Frankie, but Frankie tells him shes not being followed. Then Frankie busts Cecile, telling Cass and Cecile about Frankies conversation with Iris, and how Iris said she didnt kick Cecile out, but Cecile told Iris that Cass absolutely insisted that Cecile stay with him and wouldnt take no for an answer. Cass demands to know if thats true or not. Cecile is forced to admit that she lied. She tells Cass that she lied because she wanted to spend time with Cass. Hes angry that Cecile lied to him, and when Cecile says she had to lie, Cass tells her hes heard that before, and Cecile is a real piece of work. Cecile says shes sorry, and Frankie replies that if Cecile gets her butt upstairs, gets packed, and moves back into Iriss by midnight, the apology will be accepted. Cass then asks to speak to Frankie for a moment, drags her out of his private office, and then they start arguing in the reception area of the law office. Cass says hes perfectly capable of handling Cecile on his behalf, and hell let Frankie know when he wants her to handle Cecile for him. "Whoa!" Frankie exclaims. "Wait a minute. She just admitted that she lied to you, and IM going to be the one that gets the lecture?!" Cass says its between him and Cecile, and Frankie shouldnt interfere. Frankie says Cecile has no heart, and then gets angrier when Cass says that he and Cecile are friends, in spite of all they went through. Cecile interrupts Cass and Frankies argument, and then Caroline Stafford shows up to interrupt, saying she didnt know Cass has company.

				After Derek leaves, Frankie goes back inside and talks with Sharlene and John about Iris keeping an eye on the situation with Lucas and Josie so Sharlene wont worry as much, and about Sharlene wanting to find another job since John will be working so much and the construction business is dead in the winter.

Frankie freaks out when Cass shows up to talk to her. She bolts upstairs, having to wriggle out of Sharlenes grasp to do so, even though Sharlene refuses to lie to Cass for Frankie and tell him shes not there. John lets Cass in so he doesnt freeze while Frankie and Sharlene are debating, and Frankie races upstairs, so Frankie and Cass have what I have termed an "upstairs, downstairs" argument--Frankie yelling from upstairs, Cass yelling from downstairs...and Sharlene trying not to laugh out loud while John eats popcorn. Cass tells Frankie again hes not giving up, even though she tells him to take a hike. He tells her he can be as stubborn as she is, even more stubborn, and then leaves. But Frankie said she was getting ready to go to the spa, so I wonder where Cass goes from the farm? ;-)

				A messenger delivers an airline ticket and hotel reservation to the office for Cass. Frankie has done her homework and booked Cass a vacation on the island of St. Maarten. Cass is impressed that she found out so much about his interests, likes and dislikes, and asks how she knew about all of that. She tells him shes a private investigator. Cass is still refusing to go when Felicia arrives and tells him that he IS going, and that theres a limo waiting downstairs and she packed him a couple of suitcases, because he needs a vacation. Frankie and Felicia each take Cass by an arm and walk him out of the office.

At the airport, Frankie and Felicia give Cass a few vacation necessities--sunblock, magazines, snorkel mask, flippers, sandals, a visor--and Cass and Felicia make Frankie laugh when they bicker about the ribbons Felicia tied to Casss suitcases, and the roulette she wants Cass to play for her. Cass thanks Felicia for knowing him better than he knows himself. Felicia tells him that the vacation was Frankies idea. Cass asks Frankie if shell be there to torment him when he gets back, and she tells him, "You betcha, Boss." Cass tips his visor to Frankie and Felicia before boarding his flight, and Frankie and Felicia stay to see him off.

				Cass finds Frankie in his office writing a note to Stacey. He tells her that Stacey is at the Bar Association dinner, which is where Cass is headed, and he offers to take the note to Stacey if its important. Frankie says its not important. Cass suggests that Frankie come to the dinner with him and give the note to Stacey herself and maybe do a little networking. Frankie asks Cass if hes serious. He tells her he is. The place will be crawling with lawyers, Frankie can make lots of contacts, and besides, its a pretty good party. Frankie asks Cass if hes doing her a favor or asking her out. They dont know that Cecile is eavesdropping on them. Cass says hes not exactly asking Frankie out on a date because he knows she wouldnt want that; this is just business. Cass says Frankie would come away with more work than she could handle if she went to the dinner. Frankie tells Cass he doesnt have to feel responsible for her. She can get her own gigs. Cass retorts that she wouldnt have to if she came back to Winthrop and Edwards. The firm needs her. Frankie says thats out of the question. Cass tells Frankie they were a good team. She says that "were" is the operative word here, and she learned something about Cass, about Cass and her, over Thanksgiving. With Ceciles return, Frankie has realized that Cass is not ready for a real relationship, not with her. Cass goes after her when she leaves, but to no avail. Frankie heads off on her own, and Cass is still at the office...with Cecile lurking nearby.

				Cass is asleep on Frankies couch when she returns home from Lucass the next morning. She doesnt notice him right away, but he wakes up and watches her through his binoculars as she starts eating the donut and orange juice she picked up, and scares her when he speaks. Cass asks Frankie if she spent the night with Lucas. Frankie says that Cass should know because he was watching. Cass tells her about not being able to see or hear through the closed curtains and not falling asleep until 6 AM. Frankie asks Cass what he thought they were doing, and when she realizes what Cass thought we were doing, she starts laughing. When Cass tries to say Lucas had that look in his eye, Frankie says thats all Lucas had, then asks what Cass cares anyway. Cass says he was worried and didnt know what to do without blowing Frankies cover sky high; Lucas isnt the type of guy to take "no" for an answer. Frankie is touched...until Cass says hes worried about Caroline, who has to deal with Lucas too and shes not like Frankie. Frankie asks how she is. Cass replies that if Frankie was camping during a hurricane and a redwood tree fell on the tent, she would probably lift it off the tent with her left hand and fix her mascara with the other. Frankie is tough; Caroline is in over her head. Frankie mutters that Caroline is in over her head watching Leave It to Beaver. Cass wants Frankie to ask Lucas why hes seeing Caroline, but Frankie tells Cass to ask Caroline...or is talking too strenuous an activity for the two of them? Cass tells Frankie to behave herself, then asks what she and Lucas did all night. They swapped life stories, and Lucas told Frankie about all the people he knows. When Cass says thats not going to help their case, Frankie points out that Lucas has to trust her or she wont get in on anything big. Cass tells Frankie not to get too close. Frankie replies that she can handle anything, and then the phone rings. Its Rachel, calling for Cass. Rachel tells Cass that Derek has been arrested for the theft of the Red Swan, which surprises Cass. Cass asks if he can stop by and see Rachel later today, and Rachel agrees. After hanging up, Cass tells Frankie that Dereks in jail, which shocks Frankie.

				<p>
				Casss friends and family are springing a surprise birthday party on him, so to that end, Felicia has Cass at her place telling him they need to find a way to celebrate his birthday, which Cass informs Felicia he was hoping everyone would just forget. Meanwhile, Stacey, Zack and Reuben are decorating the law office when Frankie comes by. When she sees all the decorations, she realizes its Casss birthday and this is his party. She needs to talk to him about the body (the dead body of Catherine, Lucass former assistant, whom Frankie replaced on the job; the night Cass and Frankie got locked in the art gallery basement, Cass saw Catherines dead body, and had been trying since then to convince Frankie of what hed seen, but she didnt believe him until she tried to reach Catherine and got her worried sister, who hasnt heard from Catherine in days). Frankie has to scramble to cover with Stacey when Stacey wants to know "What body?" Then Caroline Stafford arrives and gets on Frankies case, saying that she has uncovered some information about Frankie. Back at Felicias, she convinces Cass that having two gorgeous women interested in him (namely Frankie and Caroline) is a good thing, even though Cass says he isnt ready to commit to anyone after the year hes had with Felicias trial and everything that happened with Nicole. Felicia points out that no one is asking Cass to walk down the aisle, and tells him to just have fun with it. Then she gives him his birthday present and tells him to open it alone, "I warn you." After they hug and Cass heads back to the office for what he thinks is a meeting that Zack set up with some new clients, Felicia calls the law office and gets Stacey, telling her that Cass is on his way and Felicia will be right behind him. Mitch arrives at the law office for the party just as Stacey comes over to tell Frankie and Caroline that Cass is on his way. Frankie tells Caroline to take her information and stuff it, because she doesnt care what Caroline thinks shes found out about Frankie. Stacey asks to speak to Frankie alone, and Caroline tells Frankie not to leave until theyve had a chance to chat. Then Stacey asks Frankie whats going on with her and Cass, demanding to know why Cass is acting so strangely and asking questions about Catherine, the woman Frankie replaced as Lucass assistant. Stacey wants to know if Cass and Frankie are in some kind of trouble.

<title>Cass and Frankie 1989--At the Art Auction</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/zQpkbS26g5w__Cass-and-Frankie-1989-At-the-Art-Auction-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<p>
				In the fall of 1989, Sam painted over a canvas he and Amanda found at the cabin Mac left to Matthew in Macs will. The original painting had a red swan in the lower right corner; Sam painted over the whole thing and made a portrait of Amanda. When Felicia and Caroline teamed up to host a charity art auction, Carolines workers picked up the painting of Amanda by mistake. Sam didnt want to sell it. Sam and Amanda were away on a mini-vacation when the art auction took place, leaving Rachel frantic to stop the painting from being sold. So Rachel asked Mitch to bid on the painting to keep it from going outside the family, and he agreed, much to Felicias displeasure. Also, Rachel and Mitch knew about the red swan being somewhere on the canvas beneath Sams portrait of Amanda.

Iris and Lucas also knew about the red swan on the original painting, which is why they were bidding.

Evan was just bidding on the painting because he was in the throes of his Amanda obsession, and he was in no mood for Vickys warnings that his obsession was showing and to stop running up the price.

So, at the auction, as the bidding war between Lucas, Evan, and Mitch (on Rachels behalf) unfolds, the others in attendance watch with interest--Caroline crows about how much money they were going to make off this one painting; Jamie insists that Sam would not be happy about Amandas portrait being sold; and Ronnie and Zack determine not to make any sudden moves for fear theyll get sucked into the bidding, which by that point was upwards of $30,000.

Cass sits behind Frankie at the auction and tells her hes surprised Lucas is bidding, since Lucas doesnt usually legitimately buy the pieces of his collection, and then he asks Frankie if shes part of Lucass collection. Frankie tells Cass to Cass to stop it.

Evan gives up at $35,000 and walks out of the auction, Vicky hot on his heels. Lucas then nods to his hired muscle, and the two men hold Mitch and Rachel back, and Lucas wins the painting for $31,000.

After the auction, Stacey and Derek arrive with some big news for Cass they found Lucass old assistant Catherine March working for an art expert named Dr. Jasper. Catherine told Derek and Stacey that The Red Swan was stolen from a dig, and she also knew where The Red Swan was. But she went to get proof and never returned. Cass, Derek and Stacey agree that either Catherine changed her mind, or something happened to her. Then Derek and Stacey tell Cass that Catherine stopped working for Lucas because he was tough and had his rules; she couldnt handle that, and he fired her. But, Stacey, adds, it was clear that Catherine didnt like Lucas, and Derek adds that he thinks Catherine was afraid of Lucas. Cass looks over at Frankie, who is talking to Lucas, and says maybe Catherine had good reason to be afraid of Lucas.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--I Dont Want to Leave You</title>

				<p>
				This is one of my favorite Cass and Frankie scenes of all time.

Frankie is at home after leaving the ball, trying unsuccessfully to meditate because she cant be noble about Cass. She throws a throw pillow at the door and damns Cass, and then Cass comes knocking at the door and wants her to let him in. He makes rude and obnoxious remarks at the top of his lungs ("Come on, chicky baby! Hey, do to me what you did last night!") and continues pounding on the door until she finally lets him in. Then they end up arguing, and Frankie hits Cass with the throw pillow, because shes mad at him about Cecile (and rightfully so). Cass fumbles his way through an attempt at explaining that he was trying to make something happen with Cecile because he didnt want something to happen with Frankie, but the words come out all wrong. Frankie learns that Cecile left town with Casss wallet, but not with his heart. Frankie ridicules Cass for behaving the way hes been behaving because he has been wounded by love and then yells at him to get out, but he tells her he cant do that, because that would mean hed have to leave her and he doesnt want to do that, and when Frankie asks him why not, Cass replies that maybe hes finally realized how much Frankie means to him. He asks Frankie if shes going to listen to him or not. In reply, Frankie asks Cass why she should listen to him after he went to bed with Cecile. That is what happened, isnt it?

				After narrowly avoiding being caught hiding inside Lucass coat closet, Cass and Frankie must scramble to find a new hiding place when Iris arrives unexpectedly just as theyre about to sneak out. When they do finally manage to get out of Lucass, Cass wants to stay and eavesdrop on Lucas and Iris, so he and Frankie stay for a few minutes, but Frankie eventually drags Cass away in disgust because shes not interested in "the seduction of Iris."

				This is another scene that I cant find the words to justly describe. But its a must-watch for all the Cass and Frankie fans. Ill just say this remember a few weeks ago when I posted the scene of Cass telling Caroline he couldnt get involved with her or anyone, and I said at the time that the reason I was posting it would make more sense in a few weeks time? This is the reason right here. What a difference a few weeks makes--happily for Cass and Frankie and all of their fans. -)

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--Frankie Cools Out Caroline Stafford</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/k-acFoTEuLA__Cass-amp-Frankie-1989-Frankie-Cools-Out-Caroline-Stafford-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<p>
				This scene originally came right after Felicia told Frankie that Frankie seemed to be jealous of Caroline, at the party to welcome Cass back from his vacation. This is the day after that, and will be referenced in future scenes that I hope to be posting today, which is why I went back and captured it after forgetting to do so originally.

Frankie reminisces about moments she and Cass have shared, including their first meeting; their fight at the Longshoreman about the investigation into Jason Frames murder; their late-night pinball game; their 4th of July stakeout in Frankies car across from Lucass apartment building; and Casss initial reaction when Frankie cleared off his desk in preparation for forcing him to go on vacation.

Derek arrives at the law office to see Stacey, who isnt there, and finds Frankie writing "Caroline" on several little slips of paper. Frankie then puts the slips of paper in an ice cube tray, fills the tray with water. Frankie and Derek hear Cass and Caroline laughing from inside Casss private office, and Derek asks whos in there, so Frankie tells him, and then puts the tray in the little freezer to make ice cubes. Derek asks Frankie what she just did there with the ice tray, and she replies that shes trying to cool Caroline out a little bit. Caroline seems to just radiate bad vibes whenever she comes into the room, and Pasham gave Frankie this recipe for cooling out bad vibes. Derek surmises that Frankie doesnt like Caroline much. "Did I say that?" Frankie asks. Smiling, Derek says Frankie is jealous that Carolines in there with Cass. Frankie scoffs at this, just as she did with Felicia, insisting that shes just trying to get some work done and that woman...Frustrated, Frankie cuts herself off and then says Caroline is the last thing Cass needs right now, because Cass needs to get through what happened with Nicole.

"If you say so," Derek says.

Frankie insists that she is not jealous, and she and Derek are interrupted when Cass and Caroline come out of Casss private office. Frankie formally introduces Derek and Caroline. Cass and Caroline are both surprised that Derek is knowledgeable about a certain artist whose work Caroline is displaying, and Derek and Caroline chat about it. Then Caroline gets a sudden chill. Frankie says it must be the air conditioning. Cass walks Caroline to the door with his arms around her, and Derek tells Frankie the ice cubes dont seem to be working, so she might want to try something a little stronger. Frankie tells Derek to consider it done. After Caroline leaves, Frankie opts not to talk to Cass about the conflict of interest with Lucas. Cass isnt pleased that Derek is going to wait for Stacey to get back so they can talk, but Derek insists on waiting because he needs to talk to Stacey, and its waited long enough.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie Have a Run-In With Cecile, 1989</title>

				The romantic mood is completely blown when Cass and Frankie fall onto Casss bed, and Frankie jumps up screaming and then says, "Theres someone in this bed!" Cass shoves Frankie behind him--his protective instincts clearly in overdrive--and then he and Frankie see whos in the bed Cecile! Cecile is very rude and condescending to Frankie, and when Cecile mentions Iris and Lucas, Frankie quickly reverts to the cover story about Lucas wanting Cass to butt out. When Frankie leaves, Cass chases after her, leading to a beautiful (both in terms of content and the way it was filmed) good-night scene on the stairs, with Cass and Frankie both in silhouette. For that alone, enduring Ceciles presence in this clip is worth it.

<title>Cass and Frankie 4th of July 1989--Part 1</title>

				<p>
				Mitch hired Cass and Frankie in June of 1989 to check out Lucas and his background after Lucas returned to Felicias life and they began searching for the daughter that was taken from them the night she was born.

What began as a routine stakeout of Lucass apartment building on the 4th of July 1989 quickly changed into much more for Frankie and Cass, though. For starters, Cass surprised Frankie by showing up (he had previously said he was going to the park to watch the fireworks with his sister Stacey and her then-boyfriend Derek Dane, but he ditched the park at the last minute to join Frankie on the stakeout) with a cold soda for her. When Cass complains about the heat in the car, Frankie tells him to take off his jacket. The first rule of a stakeout is to dress right. When Cass takes off his jacket, a set of keys falls out. Frankie notices the initials "CS" on the keychain and ribs Cass about the keys being from "Miss Down Under," Caroline Stafford. Cass takes the keys from Frankie and tells her that his private life is none of her business. Cass is then impressed when he sees that Frankie has gotten an FBI computer printout on Lucas. Frankie tells him shes no amateur. Cass wants to know how she got the printout, and Frankie asks him if hes always this serious. Cass says people used to wonder if he was ever serious about anything. Frankie finds that hard to believe and asks what Cass used to do that people never thought he was serious. Cass laughs and says, "What didnt we do?" The "we," he goes on to explain, was him, Felicia, and Wallingford, The Three Musketeers. They used to get into the craziest situations. It just happened. Cass says those were great times. Frankie asks how Kathleen fit into that, and Cass wonders how she knows about Kathleen. Frankie fibs that shes heard people talking and she knows Kathleen died (in actuality, Frankie came to Casss rescue the stormy night that he called off his wedding to Nicole Love, and while he was hallucinating due to a high fever and Frankie was taking care of him as best she could in a broken-down gazebo in the park, the only shelter nearby, all night long, Cass in his fever-induced hallucinatory state saw Kathleen instead of Frankie, and spoke to her as if she were that woman and not Frankie, which is how Frankie REALLY found out, but at this point Cass doesnt know that yet, although he did find out a few weeks later). Cass says that Kathleen understood and became part of the gang, then says he thought he told Frankie that his private life was off limits as a topic of conversation. Frankie says she never asked, she wasnt even listening, and puts the binoculars back to her eyes and goes back to watching Lucass building.

<title>Frankie &amp; Cass 1989--We Could Get Along If We Really Tried</title>

				<p>
				At the coffee shop, Cass and Frankie have coffee and donuts. Frankie is surprised to learn that Cass refused to let Felicia pay him for representing her in her trial for Jasons murder. Cass is surprised when Frankie says shes going to stay in Bay City because she has friends and family there. Frankie then says she bets that she and Cass could get along if they really tried. Cass says he doesnt bet on relationships anymore, and they couldnt go two minutes without arguing because theyre like oil and water. Frankie grabs Casss left wrist, where he wears his watch, and tells him two minutes. He checks his watch, says "Go!" and Frankie whispers, wondering what they should talk about. They start with the weather, then move to the Cubs, but when Frankie and Cass disagree about the Cubs, Cass announces it only took 23 seconds for them to disagree. Frankie still believes they could get along, but the conversation deteriorates when she says she thinks its important that they have a good working relationship. Cass thinks shes been playing up to him because she wants a job, and berates himself for slipping so much he didnt realize that Frankie was playing up to him. She wasnt, though; she really does want to work for Winthrop and Edwards because theyre an up-and-coming firm. Cass asks what Frankie would say if he told her he likes female employees who know their place. She replies shed say that Cass is a damn liar. Frankie says shes a good worker and she could help Cass; in fact, shes already helped Cass. Unfortunately, Cass hurts Frankies feelings when he says shes only interested in helping herself and could care less about anyone else. Frankie says thats not true and Cass knows it. She wasnt out to hurt Cass when she found out Nicole killed Jason. Cass sarcastically says hes sure Frankie wasnt hurt by it. Frankie gets really upset when Cass says that Frankies heart wasnt broken by telling him that Nicole killed Jason. Shes fighting tears as she tells him she hated it. She hates anyone being hurt as much as Cass was and being the cause of it, and Cass more than anyone should know what that feels like. He hurt Sharlene and John during the trial but he wasnt out to hurt them deliberately, and Frankie wasnt out to deliberately hurt Cass when she told him Nicole was the killer, either. Cass admits that no, he wasnt trying to hurt Sharlene and John. Frankie says thats right, Cass was just doing his job. She says that she was just doing her job too, and she did it damn well. Then she picks up her jacket and purse and gets up to leave. Cass says he thought the coffee and donuts were on her, and Frankie replies that theyre on whoevers working, and right now thats him, and then she leaves, hurt and angry, but having given Cass something to think about, as evidenced by the look on his face after Frankie leaves.

Interestingly, this was the first time Frankie referred to Cass as "Counselor," which is her favorite term of endearment for him, although it certainly wasnt used in an endearing manner in this scene. Lucky for all of us Cass and Frankie fans that changed in time.

<title>Frankie &amp; Felicia 1989-Girl Talk and Felicia Gives Advice</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/yau21-n25NY__Frankie-amp-Felicia-1989-Girl-Talk-and-Felicia-Gives-Advice-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<p>
				Frankie goes to Felicias apartment, where Felicia is holed up eating ice cream. They start off talking about how Vicky ran off with baby Steven over Thanksgiving, but the conversation quickly turns from Vicky to Cecile. Felicia admits that when she heard Cecile had been taken prisoner in that country of hers, Felicia used to just sort of drift off to sleep at night just thinking about that. Felicia is horrified when Frankie tells her that Cass is falling for Cecile again. Cecile is a tarantula, and shes got all eight legs wrapped around Cass. Felicia asks Frankie how she knows this, and Frankie replies that Cass confessed to her that Cecile had reawakened old feelings in him. "With her, he can be open. With me, he has to hold back!" Frankie exclaims. "They have a history together!"

"Yes, of disasters!" Felicia replies.

Frankie says that Cass doesnt seem to mind that. When Felicia finds out that Frankie turned down Casss invitation to the Bar Assocation dinner, she asks Frankie why she didnt go. Frankie doesnt know why she said no. She practically handed Cass over to Cecile on a silver platter, and thats not like her. Frankie usually stands up and fights for what she wants, no matter how ugly it gets. Felicia says if Cecile is involved, its going to get very ugly.

"But is Cass worth fighting for? That is the question," Frankie muses. "I mean, should I be interested in a man who is interested in Cecile? Hed probably want a pit bull for a pet! A man who has such a short memory, a man who can be so easily manipulated by flattery!" She pauses to take a bite of the ice cream she snatched away from Felicia before continuing, "A man who can forgive even someone like her because hes so vulnerable and kind-hearted from being hurt that he needs me." Another bite of ice cream, and Frankie continues, "Should I be so shallow that I let her push me aside?" Pause. "Should I blow her up?"

Felicia bursts out laughing at Frankies last question, which makes Frankie laugh too. Frankie then says she didnt mean that about blowing up Cecile, but Felicia assures Frankie its all right; Felicia hates Cecile too. Felicia reclaims her ice cream from Frankie as she says that she really hates how condescending Cecile is to everybody. When Frankie says that Cecile just dismisses her, Felicia replies that Cecile wouldnt do that if Frankie didnt let her. Frankie says Felicia is right, and she feels much better now. Felicia says its good to talk these things out. Frankie thanks Felicia for her advice and says shes going back into battle, and theres no time like the present. But Felicia stops Frankie and says if shes going back into battle, shed better go armed, because Cecile is at the Bar Association dinner with Cass. "Shes with him already?" Frankie asks. "That lady works fast."

"Yeah," Felicia replies, "and she aint no lady!"

"Well, I cant go back up there now! Shell make mincemeat out of me!" Frankie says.

"Honey, you have to get him to WANT to dump Cecile," Felicia says.

"Because he wants to be with me," Frankie replies.

"Now thats the spirit!" Felicia cheers.

Frankie says in that case, shed better look fabulous, and starts to dig through her purse, but Felicia says thats just part of it. "Can I give you some advice?" Felicia asks.

"Sure," Frankie replies.

So Felicia tells Frankie that Frankie needs to pull out all the reserves, because Cass is the kind of guy that you have to, like, trick...but what will be the cost of this advice to both Frankie and Cass by evenings end?

				After leaving Iriss, Frankie returns to the law office, where she calls Robert Faxson and poses as Iriss personal secretary, Frieda Freeman. Cass listens in on the phone call, and when they learn that Mr. Faxson is a lawyer Iris called about Macs will, Cass has Frankie ask if there have been any new developments. Mr. Faxson tells Frankie that hes talked to several local lawyers, and none of them knew Mr. Cory. Also, he has found nothing on the Red Swan. Frankie thanks him, hangs up, and does a little victory cheer, telling Cass that hes going to eat every bad word hes ever said about her.

				I LOVE this scene! I have from the first time I saw it.

Besides the fight, this is when Cass and Frankie have their first real "Im kokla you because I want to kiss you and for no other reason" kiss...which is their second kiss of the night, so the evening did have one perfect moment after all. -D

				When Frankie arrives at TOPS on the arm of a tall, dark, and handsome man, Cass cant keep his eyes off of them even though hes with Cecile. Cecile thinks the guy is gorgeous, but Cass dismisses him as "a bland washout." When Cecile starts making digs at Frankie, Cass tells her to can it. Then Frankie comes over to Cass and Ceciles table to say hello. Cass lies that he had no idea Frankie was there, but trips himself up when he asks Frankie if shes going to introduce her date to him. Frankie asks how Cass knew she was with Trevor, and Cass blurts out, "Cecile told me!" Frankie says shes not sure shes willing to share Trevor, but it was nice to see Cass and Cecile, and then she goes to join Trevor at the bar. Cecile is bored and wants to leave, but Cass wont budge. Hes too busy wondering where Frankie had the time to meet Trevor and get so friendly with him, and isnt Trevor a little young for Frankie? Cecile wants to have a drink and go dancing, and Cass says theyll have a drink there. Cass cant keep his eyes off Frankie and Trevor, and hes not happy.

Meanwhile, Frankie and Trevor talk at the bar, and Frankie thanks Trevor for doing this favor for her (pretending to be her date so she can make Cass jealous). She knows him from her meditation class, and she didnt know who else to call. Trevor is happy to help, because when you give, the universe returns it tenfold, but hes sorry to see Frankie going through this game-playing phase, though; after watching her in meditation class, he thought shed progressed a lot further along the road than that. Frankie says certain things make her regress. Trevor suggests Frankie tell Cass how she feels. Frankie says how Cass would respond is the question, especially with that blonde boa draped over him. Trevor says if Cass cant respond positively, let him go; the universe will send Frankie someone else. Frankie says shes been waiting around a long time, and Cass Winthrop is the best thing the universe has sent her so far, and shes not about to lose him to some tart from Tanquir. Trevor starts chanting then because of Frankies negative vibes. She apologizes and promises to think more positively, but Trevor continues his chanting, explaining that he has to cleanse his core because Frankies negative vibes remind him of his ex-wife. Frankie pleads with Trevor not to do this here, but he ignores her and keeps chanting, and then her pleas turn panicky when she sees Cass coming over to talk to them!

				The day after the Bar Association dinner, Frankie is cooking sauteed vegetables with cellophane noodles for breakfast in Sharlene and Johns kitchen. Sharlene knows something is up, though, and asks Frankie why Frankie came to the farm at 1 00 in the morning and asked if she could spend the night. Frankie tries to pass it off as just missing Sharlene, and wanting to hear about Sharlene and Johns honeymoon, but Sharlene knows better; she knows that Frankie is upset about Cass. Frankie gets emotional and is nearly in tears as she tries to deny it. She says that she has feelings for Cass, but shell get over them. Sharlene tells her that would be a mistake; she tried to do the same thing herself with John. Sharlene urges Frankie to give Cass another chance. Frankie tearfully tells Sharlene she cant. Theyre interrupted when Josie and Matt come downstairs. Matt is excited about having Chinese food for breakfast, but Josie practically yanks him out the door, because shes moving into her new apartment today and has a meeting with Lucas. After Josie and Matt leave, Frankie tells Sharlene its her turn, and wants to know why Sharlene is so bothered by Lucas. Frankie offers to help, since she used to work for Lucas, and asks if Lucas frightens Sharlene. Sharlene finally tells Frankie that she knows Lucas better than most people, because when Sharlene was a prostitute, Lucas was a customer...a very good customer. Realizing what this could mean for her younger cousin, Frankie is as horrified as Sharlene.

				Frankies back at the bar, where the bartender offers to build her another seltzer with lime. Frankie tells him to forget the seltzer and give her a double bourbon straight up with a beer chaser. Felicia, who walked up in time to hear Frankie place her drink order, says shell have one of those as well and sits down beside Frankie. She correctly guesses that Frankie is drinking because of Cass and Cecile. Frankie tells Felicia about catching Cecile red-handed, and how Cecile was going to take off for Switzerland with all of the money from the memorial fund for Mac. The bartender brings their drinks, and after one sip, Felicia asks how Frankie can drink this stuff voluntarily. Frankie tells her to take another slug because her taste buds are dead now. Felicia asks what Cass said when Frankie told him about Cecile, and Frankie explains that she didnt tell Cass about Cecile. Felicia asks why. "Because I couldnt do it to him," Frankie replies. "Not again."

"Because of Nicole?" Felicia asks, and Frankie nods in reply.

"I told Cecile that if she loved Cass at all, she would do the right thing," Frankie says.

"You mean if she loved him as much as you do," Felicia replies. "And Cass is none the wiser. Well, thats very noble of you, kid."

"Isnt it?" Frankie asks after she and Felicia clink their bourbon glasses together.

"Isnt it," Felicia replies.

"Oh, yeah," Frankie says. "Cecile is gone, Cass is gone, and here I sit with my nobility to keep me company."

Felicia says that sometimes she thinks she and Frankie are too understanding. Frankie asks where Mitch is, and Felicia tells her that she thinks Mitch is with Rachel. Frankie is shocked and asks if Felicia thinks that theres something there. Felicia doesnt think that Mitch and Rachel are having an affair yet, but she does think that she has to stop playing the noble, understanding wife.

"To the end of noble gestures," Frankie says, raising her glass.

"Ill drink to that," Felicia replies, and they clink glasses and drink again.

				<p>
				With Lucas and Caroline otherwise occupied, Cass and Frankie sneak down to the basement of the art gallery to steal the painting Lucas won. But just as they find it, the door slams shut, and when Cass goes to check it, its locked, meaning he and Frankie are locked in the basement of the art gallery because that door is the only way in or out of the basement. But what they dont know yet is that Catherine March is lying dead under a table in the same basement!

After realizing theyre truly locked in, Cass pulls a pin from Frankies hair, hoping to use it to pick the lock. While hes trying to pick the lock, he and Frankie argue about Lucas, getting locked in, and the whole mess in general. The pin breaks in Casss hand before he can pick the lock, so he and Frankie are still stuck. Cass is starting to look for another way out of the basement when they hear someone approaching the door. Frankie calls Casss name, and he stands behind her as they look up and see the doorknob slowly turn....

				The awkward silence that follows Cass catching Frankie so she doesnt fall over the microphone devolves into an argument until Frankie notices movement at Lucass apartment. Then our intrepid duo man their stations at the window, Frankie with the microphone and tape recorder and Cass with the binoculars, to watch Lucas. But it turns out Lucas is only reading a book...silently, at that. After calling it a night on the Lucas watch, Cass finds a deck of tarot cards, which thrills Frankie. She talks him into picking two cards, but his response to the second card is not quite what Frankie had in mind.

				Cass takes Frankie back to his place, carrying her upstairs to his bedroom on his back and kind of falling on the bed with her, then scrambling to make sure he doesnt crush her with his weight. She wakes up again on Casss bed with Cass beside her, and bantering and bickering ensues. Cass wants to doctor the scrapes on Frankies arm and still thinks she should go to the hospital. He gets her one of his pajama tops to wear since her clothes are filthy and torn, then hastily stops her when she starts to take off her blouse in front of him and asks her to do that in the bathroom. "Cant control yourself?" she asks, slinging his pajama top over one shoulder. Cass tells her to never mind about that and that hes going to make coffee. Frankie tells him she doesnt need coffee. Cass says only Frankie would manage to get hit by a stray cherry bomb while on a stakeout. Frankie sticks her head out the bathroom door and tells Cass the cherry bomb was no accident. Shocked, he asks her what she means by that, but shes behind the closed bathroom door already and doesnt answer.

				Frankie is sitting alone at the bar, but not for long. Everyone is rooting for her and Cass. Zack and Ronnie respect Frankies need for distance, but lament the fact that Cass is with Cecile instead of Frankie because they both like Frankie, and think Frankie is good for Cass. Stacey and Derek dont get the same hint from Frankies facial expression, body language, and the fact that shes sitting alone at the bar, though, and Stacey puts her foot in her mouth when she asks Frankie if Cass is back yet because Felicia told her that Cass went chasing after "the Queen," and Stacey only stops yammering when Derek signals her to shut up. Frankie says she doesnt care about Cass, and Derek replies that they know thats not true and Frankie does care about Cass. Frankie says then shell stop caring, because the last thing she needs is Ceciles leftovers, and she leaves Stacey and Derek in the bar to go outside and get some air. But she isnt alone out there, either. Griffen Sanders is watching her. But luckily for Frankie, Lucas is watching Griffen, and he warns Griffen to stay away from Frankie. Lucas is not happy that Griffen killed Catherine, and tells Griffen that Catherine didnt have to be eliminated, and the last thing Lucas needs is a loose cannon like Griffen going around getting his kicks by-- Lucas stops when a few people pass, so as not to be overheard. Griffen disagrees with Lucas, saying that Catherine was about to give evidence against both of them. Lucas insists that Frankie has no evidence to give and menacingly warns Griffen to stay away from her.

				With Dereks sketch of the earring, and a photograph from Mitch of Nicole wearing the earrings at Felicias birthday party, Frankie goes over to Casss to tell him that she knows who the real killer is and can clear Felicia. Frankie is upset to learn that Cass is supposed to marry Nicole in a few hours and apologizes to him for finding out what she found out, but she gives him the proof, explains about Dereks hypnosis, and tells him shes certain Nicole killed Jason. Cass doesnt want to believe it at first and he gets very angry, finally telling Frankie theyre going to settle this once and for all as he pulls her out the door behind him.

				At his office, Cass is hunkered down with a bottle of Scotch. When the phone calls about Nicole get to be too much for him, after he tells one reporter that he doesnt even know who Nicole Love is, the third time the phone rings, Cass yanks the phone jack out of its connection and throws the whole phone on the floor. Frankie arrives just in time to witness this and tells Cass that Ma Bell isnt going to like that. Cass asks Frankie what shes doing there. She says she knocked, but she guesses he wasnt listening. Cass tells Frankie hes not in the mood for a visit, but when Frankie notices the bottle of Scotch, she remarks that Cass drinks the good stuff. When she says shed like a drink, Cass tells her theres a bar down the street. Frankie says she likes to have somebody to talk to. When Cass says he wants to be alone, Frankie says he doesnt look like Greta Gardbo. Cass corrects her--its Greta Garbo, not Gardbo. Frankie pours some Scotch into a coffee mug, makes a toast, then asks Cass what now? Cass tells her to go home since shes had her drink. Frankie notices the pinball machine in the corner and asks Cass about a game of pinball. Cass says why not, and then he and Frankie are at the pinball machine. It costs a quarter; Cass explains this is so the office is always guaranteed to make some money. Frankie sees how good Cass is, and suggests they have a contest sometime. He asks if shes a pinball wizard, and she says people who bet against her are usually sorry. Frankie says it was a great idea putting a pinball machine in the office, and Cass says it wasnt his idea; it was a gift from Nicole that he uses to keep his mind from turning to jelly after hes been working for a while writing a brief or something. After abandoning the pinball machine, Cass goes back to drinking. Frankie asks if hes going to drink all night. Cass says Frankie is the problem solver, so why doesnt she tell him. Frankie says she didnt come there to gloat. She came there to tell Cass shes sorry for what happened to him and to Nicole and to everybody. Cass says that just about covers it, doesnt it? Frankie says Cass always has a smart remark and a comeback and nobody ever gets to him. Cass replies that for what its worth, he believes that Frankie is really sorry and he appreciates her saying so and asks if that makes her feel better. When she says "I guess," he says thats good, because it doesnt make him feel any better at all. Frankie asks Cass what would make him feel better, and he tells her she could close the door on her way out. "You want to be alone," Frankie says.

"Like Greta Gardbo," Cass replies.

"Garbo," Frankie corrects.

"Good night," Cass says.

"Good night," Frankie replies quietly, and then she leaves, and Cass is alone again in his office.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--I Just Want You to Be Careful</title>

				Frankie tells Cass to go ahead and bite her head off for saying it would be a disaster if Nicole got off on probation. Cass tells her shes entitled to her own opinion ("Since when?" Frankie asks), and that Frankie needs someone to blame after the cherry bomb and getting chloroformed at Iriss penthouse so shes blaming Nicole. What Cass doesnt understand is why Frankie is so hellbent on sending Nicole to prison. Frankie says she doesnt want Nicole to go to prison, but she thinks that Nicole does need to go to a hospital because she needs help. Cass says he knows Nicole needs help, and Michael and Donna will see that she gets it. Frankie insists that something is really wrong with Nicole, and tells Cass that she knows it hurts Cass to hear that, but she believes its true. Cass says he just doesnt want to see Nicole suffer anymore. Frankie apologizes to Cass, and says that she always says the wrong thing to him. Cass says yes, she does. When Cass puts on his jacket, Frankie asks him where hes going. He has a dinner meeting at TOPS with Mitch about Lucas. Frankie wants to come too, since its her investigation. Cass and Frankie banter a bit about what could go wrong if Frankie accompanies Cass to dinner (Casss suggestion that a champagne cork could go in one of Frankies ears and out the other makes Frankie laugh, which makes Cass laugh). But then things get serious again when Cass tells Frankie that he just wants her to be careful. If someone is really following Frankie, if hes connected to Lucas, how will it look if Frankie meets with Cass AND with Felicias husband? Frankie tells Cass hes right. Cass jokes that he knows how hard that was for her. Frankie asks what shes supposed to do at the office then. Cass tells her that hes expecting a package and wants Frankie to wait for the courier, and hell call her and then pick her up and take her home. Frankie asks what shes supposed to do for supper, and Cass tells her to order a pizza, then tells her not to be so paranoid about Nicole before leaving, wishing Frankie a nice evening as he heads out the door.

				Frankie breaks into Ceciles briefcase and finds plane tickets. Before she can see the destination and whether theyre one-way or round-trip, Cecile walks in. Frankie tells Cecile she wants two tickets to the Winter Fantasy Ball, and some information about how the fund to benefit the Mac Cory Memorial works...for Trevor, she says. Cecile explains that Cass has set up a non-profit organization with her as treasurer, so the contributions go to Cecile in the form of cash, check, or money order, and she puts them into an escrow account. Frankie asks Cecile if she thinks shell make a lot of money. Cecile is talking about how successful she thinks the ball will be when Cass arrives and sees Frankie. When she goes to leave, Cass asks her to wait just a minute and then asks Cecile to leave them alone. After a couple of snide comments, Cecile leaves to run herself a bath, and Cass and Frankie are alone together.

Cass tells Frankie that he came to see her at the farm for two reasons. First of all, Rachel needed a private investigator because she thinks someone is following her, but Cass had to hire someone else because Frankie slammed the door in his face. Frankie angrily interrupts Cass to ask what the second thing is. Cass tells Frankie he doesnt want to leave things the way they were between him and her, and he never wanted to hurt Frankie. Frankie lies that Cass didnt hurt her and that she thinks its for the best. She thinks Cass and Cecile should see this thing through, which surprises Cass. "You love her, right?" Frankie asks.

"Well, I...I..." Cass cant say it (because its not true)!

With tears in her eyes, Frankie says, "So, go for it. Really. Good luck, Cass. I want you to be happy."

"Me too," Cass replies. "I want that for you, too."

Frankie tells Cass not to worry about her; shell be better than fine. Cass is glad they talked, and Frankie is too. Then Frankie says she really should be going, and asks Cass if hes happy. He says he is, so she says good and shell see him around and then hurries away. Cass tells Frankie hell see her around too.

				This is one of my favorite sets of scenes, starting right here--all of the anticipation, jitters, near-total disaster, and that one perfect moment...in other words, this is the night of the first real date that Cass asked Frankie on. So as not to potentially spoil the effect for anyone who may be seeing this for the first time, or for the first time in years, I wont be going into a lot of little details in the descriptions for these scenes.

In these scenes, Frankie, panicked over her first date with Cass, calls Derek, who comes over to give her advice. When he asks Frankie why she said yes to the date with Cass in the first place, she replies, "Because when he touches me, I cant catch my breath." Frankie is afraid that this date will ruin things for her and Cass if its great for her and lousy for him. Dereks final advice is to do what she wants to do and just try to have fun. After Derek leaves, Frankie realizes that Cass is one minute late, and the reason for that will be revealed in the next clip.

<title>Frankie &amp; Cass 1989--Answering Lucas; Their First Real Hug</title>

				<p>
				Frankie is cringing behind Casss office door as she listens to Cass and Lucass conversation, convinced that since Cass is trying to evade answering Lucas about why she was fired, hes going to blow her story...but Cass tells Lucas exactly what Frankie did that Frankie was fired from Winthrop and Edwards for stealing money. Lucas asks why Cass didnt prosecute Frankie, and Cass replies that the firm doesnt need the bad publicity that would come with that. Satisfied with the answer, Lucas leaves. When hes gone, Cass tells Frankie she can come out now, and she emerges from his office all smiles. She asks how Cass knew she was there. "Stacey," he replies. Then Frankie asks how Cass knew what lie to tell Lucas, because Cass said the surveillance mic was on the fritz again. Cass replies that he listened at the door before barging into Lucass suite the night before, and tells Frankie he always listens at doors before barging into rooms and she should try it sometime. She says she will. Cass asks Frankie if she was scared, and she tries to play it off like she wasnt, but she hurries to Cass with open arms, engulfs him in a hug, and thanks him over and over again. Cass hugs her back, and its their first real hug, which only ends because Cass cant breathe (so Frankie was holding him really tight, YAY!). Cass tells Frankie that from now on, she is to report everything to him so they can try to avoid these little situations. Frankie salutes Cass with a grin and agrees. Cass then tells Frankie hes going to Chicago for a few days on business, which disappoints her. Frankie wants to go back to Lucas and plead for her job now that its safe, but Cass tells her not to push things with Lucas while Cass is away, and adds that he gets the distinct that nothing is ever really safe when shes around. Frankie dryly remarks that she needs another vote of confidence. Cass asks who will bail Frankie out if she gets into trouble when hes not around, and Frankie replies with a smile that she doesnt know, so she guesses Cass will just have to hurry back, and he has a smile starting to play on his face too.

				After generating enough steam of their own to put the steam in the steam room to shame, Cass tells Frankie its the universes way of telling them that they should be together. Frankie says thats one way of looking at it, but then she wants to talk about the future. Cass says theyre barely speaking to each other, so how did they get to the future so quickly? Frankie says its the bottom line with them she wants a future with Cass, and hes not ready for that yet. Ceciles visit proved that to Frankie, and it should have proved that to Cass too. Frankie tells Cass not to kiss her anymore, then tells him goodbye. Cass says this is definitely NOT goodbye and leaves the steam room.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--Argument About Stacey and Derek</title>

				The realtor Cass is on the phone with is trying to get him to buy 6000 square feet of office space, which is way more than Winthrop and Edwards need. Cass amuses Frankie by calling the realtor "you doink" and hanging up on him. Frankie reminds Cass that its the realtors job to try and get Cass to buy more office space. Zack then tells Frankie that Derek called for her while she was out. She asks if Derek called to cancel, and Zack replies that Derek said it wasnt important and hed call back. When Frankie says that Derek wasnt calling to cancel a "date" date, Cass says that Frankie and Derek would be a pretty good match and offers her the rest of the afternoon off with pay. Frankie asks Cass whats with him. He tries to hustle her out of the office, but she tells him its not going to work Cass is only trying to push Frankie to go out with Derek because Cass doesnt want Stacey going out with Derek. Cass says Stacey and Derek together would be a laugh. Frankie says that Derek may not be Ivy League, but she thinks Stacey has noticed his potential. Cass counters that Stacey isnt ready to date anybody yet. Frankie gets him to admit that he means Stacey isnt ready to get involved with anyone yet, and Cass says he would rather Stacey dated someone more reliable, like Dr. Eric Jansen. Frankie points out that Cass doesnt really know Eric Jansen, or Derek for that matter, and of all people, Cass should know that you cant judge a book by its cover. Cass tells Frankie he assumes shes referring to Nicole, and that Frankie could use a couple of lessons in being tactful. Frankie says her point is that Cass isnt exactly thrilled with life and love right now. When Cass says that has nothing to do with his feelings about Derek, Frankie challenges him to let Stacey make her own decisions about Derek and let whatever happens happen. Cass insists that Derek is not the guy for Stacey. Frankie points out that Derek is the guy who put himself on the line for Felicia, and hes no lightweight. Zack reminds the duo that when he tried to weigh in on his sister Julie Anns life, it was a mistake, and neither Cass nor Frankie has any say in what Stacey does. Frankie tells Cass she heard he was the kind of guy who gave people a chance. Cass says this is his sister theyre talking about. "Is it her?" Frankie asks. "Or is it you thats the problem?"

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989-Day After the First Date That Wasnt</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/bdvwHGS6Rcg__Cass-amp-Frankie-1989-Day-After-the-First-Date-That-Wasn't-FebWriter.htm</link>

				<p>
				This is another of those scenes that I just love so much I cant possibly do it justice in describing it. But I will mention a few things

--This is the only time I actually liked Stacey and found her funny; she was the perfect nosy little sister here, especially during her breakfast spent eavesdropping gleefully and without shame on her big brother and future sister-in-law, and her final line in this scene, after nearly getting literally bowled over by Frankie.

--Cass blurts out something very revealing in the middle of his argument with Frankie, which is a big clue as to just how gun-shy he is about getting serious about her "Every time I get involved, I get hurt."

--Frankie, who also has her own scars from previous relationships (none of which were ever as serious as Cass but they still happened), gave a revealing answer to Casss "Every time I get involved, I get hurt" comment, which is a big clue that explains part of *her* being gun-shy about getting serious with Cass

"Youve been known to cause some pain yourself."

--Even when theyre arguing, the banter is still there. Only Cass and Frankie could mention Felicias novels, the Marines, kokla techniques, and taking off your shirt (though not for the reason most of us would think of, at least not at this stage in their relationship because its still way too soon for that) and have it all make wonderful, hilarious, and even bittersweet sense.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989--Youre Going to Felicias?!?!</title>

				Cass returns to his office and finds Frankie there. She had left, but she came back because they really need her help. Cass asks her if shes called Barrons (the law firm that has Macs will), and Frankie tells Cass not to snap at her, reminding him that Stacey wasnt very nice to her earlier either, but she came back anyway to help them. Then she tells him shes been calling them every 15 minutes and theyre sending the will over even as she and Cass speak. Frankie then holds up a file of important contracts and asks Cass why it was under the pinball machine. He explains that the machine was rocking and it was affecting his scoring, and since he couldnt find the little metal stud that went on the end of the pinball machines leg, he stuck the file under it to keep it from rocking because the file was handy. Frankie says everything in the office is handy, and its one wall-to-wall unfiled document. When Cass says the office doesnt look half bad, and Frankie replies that thats because she has managed to put a minor dent in it by filing for three solid hours. Cass thanks Frankie for filing. Frankie asks if Cass has made a decision about hiring future office staff, and when he tells her he hasnt decided yet, she says that since shes not officially working there, shes going to take off, because she has a little get-together to go to. Cass says hes getting together with some friends himself. It is PRICELESS when they look at each other and realize theyre going the same place and blurt out in unison, "Youre going to Felicias?!?!?!"

Neither Cass nor Frankie had any idea that the other would be at Felicias party. Cass says he didnt realize that Felicia was including everybody that had anything to do with helping her defense, but thats Felicia for you. "I guess so," Frankie replies. When the phone buzzes, Frankie answers it and goes out into the hall. While shes gone, Cass tries to talk himself into believing that it wont be a big deal being at the same party with Frankie, and he wont have to talk to her. Frankie returns with a manila envelope and tells Cass it got dropped off at the wrong office. Its Macs will. When Cass looks at it, Frankie can tell by the look on his face that something is up, and she asks him what it is. He just looks at her.

				Rachel has long since fled the Winter Fantasy Ball, so when its time for the presentation, Cass takes to the stage with Amanda, Matthew, and Jamie, and Amanda is poised to accept the check in Rachels stead. Frankie and Lucas come in from the terrace in time for Casss introduction. Cecile arrives just after Cass says that Cecile was supposed to be the one to present the check, and proceeds to present the check to Amanda, who thanks everyone for their generosity and says Mac would be very proud. After the presentation, Frankie is waiting outside the ballroom as Cecile exits and congratulates her on actually handing over the money. Cecile tells Frankie she never had any intention of doing anything else and leaves. Frankie is hurt yet again when Cass walks right past her calling to Cecile to wait a minute.

				After snapping at Stacey that he doesnt want to talk about it or explain anything and refusing to listen to the one piece of advice she tries to offer him, Cass barricades himself in his office. Felicia then arrives to see him and hes still grumpy and a little whiny. They start out talking about Mitch and his belief that Lucas was lying about Lucas and Felicias daughter having lived, which Felicia immediately dismisses as impossible because she knows Luke wouldnt be that cruel. Cass tells Felicia about the letter he received from Nicole, and that he is getting on with his life and has thrown himself into the "wild, wacky, wonderful world of women." After assuring Felicia that he and Frankie are no longer following Lucas, Felicia wants to know why Frankie is working for Lucas, then. Cass dismisses it as no big deal, but Felicia knows better, and reminds Cass who hes talking to. She also makes her first pitch for Frankie to be Casss love interest, saying that Cass needs someone more challenging, and a little abrasive maybe, someone who wont let him get away with a blessed thing. "Someone with red hair?" Cass asks. At Felicias affirmative answer, Cass tells her to forget about it, but she tells him that he and Frankie have "a thing" and when he tells her to forget it, she just smiles a "well just see about that" smile at him.

				Cass and Frankie return to the law office and bicker about what happened at Lucass and what they have and dont have on Lucas. Frankie decides to go after Lucas by trying to get him interested in her. Cass doesnt want her doing that and even tries to block her from leaving, then insists that they talk about it. Cass thinks Lucas is too unpredictable and dangerous, but Frankie says she learned how to predict men a long time ago. Cass challenges Frankie to describe him in 50 words or less, so she does, and he is initially pleased with her adjectives, but hes hurt and bothered when he thinks that Frankie sees him as a stick in the mud living in the past. He asks her if thats really how she sees him, but she dodges the question by saying times a-wastin and shes got to get on the case. "Arent we breezy," Cass says after Frankie leaves the office.

<title>Cass &amp; Frankie 1989-Derek Talks to Frankie; Cass &amp; Stacey</title>

				Stacey finds Cass playing pinball and learns that he sent Derek to plead his case to Frankie. Stacey tells Cass she doesnt know what he was doing with Cecile. She cant believe Cass would let Cecile back into her life. Cass says he knew it wasnt going to work with Cecile from day one. Stacey asks why he let Cecile back into his life then, when he had a good thing going with Frankie that was starting to come together. Cass admits to his sister that hes scared of whats happening between him and Frankie. Things are going too well.

Out at the farm, Derek tells Frankie that shes scared to be with Cass. Frankie scoffs at that, saying that she and Cass are all wrong for each other because Frankie is a straightforward, keep-it-simple kind of girl, no pretenses, no exaggerations, but Cass prides himself on moving from woman to woman and leaving a path of destruction equaled only by the Black Plague. Derek thinks Frankie is exaggerating just a bit there. Frankie says that Cass is as phony as a three-dollar bill, not to mention arrogant, obnoxious, and conceited.

Cass, meanwhile, is telling Stacey that Frankie is stubborn and fundamentally, shes crazy, and when you look at it logically, he and Frankie are all wrong for each other. Stacey says she herself is leaning towards the idea that love doesnt make any sense. She tells Cass that if he wants Frankie, he has to follow his heart. Cass asks his sister if shes ever afraid her heart might be wrong. Stacey says yes, that scares her to death.

Derek tells Frankie that Cass did not put him up to this, he only strongly suggested it, and asks her what hes supposed to tell Cass. Frankie replies that maybe Derek could just say that shes trying to protect herself because shes afraid of getting hurt again. Who needs it? Derek says theres no doubt about it, loves a risky business. But once youve felt that feeling, how can you live without it?

				Frankie arrives at Lucass and hears him yelling at someone over the phone. When she learns it was his accountant, she asks if hes having money troubles. Lucas replies that theres plenty of money, its just not where...never mind. Then he asks Frankie to read a status report on Sophisticate while he makes a phone call to Tokyo in the other room. While Lucas is gone, Frankie searches his desk and finds his bank statement, proving that hes in hot water financially. She calls the number Cass gave her, and when the phone rings in the hotel room, Cass tells Caroline
