dir. Carlos Iglesias, 2006, Spain, 105 min.

1960, Spain is under the yoke of Franco and the economy is in ruins. Combining gentle comedy, social critic and his autobiographic life as a child , Carlos Iglesias debut as writer, actor ( in the role of his father) is an universal tale of immigrants and their courage to succeed. Two very likable mechanics, , decided to emigrate and enter Switzerland seeking to make their fortunes there. They are astounded by the simple things in Swiss life--perfumed toilet paper, free breakfasts in a hotel, and hot and cold water coming from the same faucet--and must also face prejudice and the language barrier. They work hard and have girlfriends that they must abandon when their families arrived, but the son adapts easily to the new life and loves it. This film is a humorous tender look at the clash of cultures from the viewpoint of a child who will treasure this experience for life.

				Kamome Diner (2006)
Director Naoko Ogigami

The Seagull Diner is a simple tale, one that illustrates its message quite deliberately, though sincerely, and presents a roster of likeable people while doing so. What it has to say is particularly relevant. It proves that no matter whom people are or where theyre from there is always a way to communicate their feelings and that each of us can be brought together through something as simple as the pleasures of food. Above all Naoko Ogigami perfectly hits the right balance of humour and well intended sentiments; we might miss the things that we leave behind, but deep down home is truly where the heart is.

from HBOs amazingly wonderful TV series Six Feet Under

Season 5, Episode 1 "A Coat of White Primer"
Written by Kate Robin
Directed by Rodrigo Garcia

 //-hbo/sixfeetunder/episode/season5/episode52.shtml
--
I really love when the Fisher siblings light up and dis(cuss) Billy. Oh, also when they start to recall Claires past lovers and come to realize what rotten taste she has in men.
--
"Still, there are lighter moments -- David, Claire and Nate sneak outside to get high, but dont want their significant others to know; David and Keith drive around with some disturbingly precocious kids who grill them on their kotu life. If these characters werent so knowable and sharp and likable, we might not find their continued insistence on bottling it all up and relying on evasive maneuvers quite so aggravating.

Of course, the very traits that drive us nuts are also what make these characters a lot like the friends, family, and co-workers we deal with every day. No matter what happy sounds they make, their lives can be strange and unpredictable and often sad. The characters of "Six Feet Under" bring to light some deeply disturbing constants in life that some people will always remain alienated and misguided, that others will always wrestle with addiction or mental illness, that events sometimes occur that we have no control over." - Heather Havrilesky

Nate She knows we all think Billys a bomb waiting to go off.

David What does she think?

Nate She thinks hes fine when hes on his medication and hes been taking it for a long time, so I dont know. I could almost deal with the guy if he wasnt fucking my little sister.

David Well, hes better than Gabe. Come on, he was a drug-crazed killer.

Keith He didnt kill the guy, he just shot at him.

David She should have just stayed with her nice gay boyfriend.

Nate That guy was a total asshole.

David She really knows how to pick them.
--
Claire So, um, what do you guys think about Billy? Hes in a really good place, you think?

David Yeah. Definitely.

Nate Good place, what does that mean?

Claire Just that hes doing really well.

Nate Well, it doesnt mean Im not going to lay awake at night worrying about the fact that youre in that guys bed.

Claire Thats a nice thing to say about your wifes brother.

Nate She knows how I feel.

Claire It is so unfair to hold things that happened years ago against someone. I mean, thats basically saying that people cant change! I mean, you changed!

Nate Yeah, Ive changed, but Im not totally fucking insane, Claire. I didnt try and carve a tattoo off of somebodys ass.

Claire Shut up!

Nate Here.

<title>Trip-Hop Music Bonobo - Kota</title>
<link>http://belesvideoizle.com/video/y9aDuMlcV5M__Trip-Hop-Music-Bonobo--Kota-Profeshian.htm</link>

				<p>
The Cosmic Lounge presents Trip-Hop Music Kota by Bonobo.

"Bonobo is Simon Green, British producer, composer, musician and DJ.

With the experimental warmth of 60s french films and the pizzicato flavor of horizontal hip-hop, Bonobo established a welcome niche of a pretension-free, post-party intellectual chill-out. Green debuted in 1999 from Brighton at 18 years old with a track on Tru Thoughts Recordings When Shapes Join Together compilation. Though tempted by offers from Mute and XL after the official issue of The Scuba EP and the Terrapin single, Green stuck with Tru Thoughts for the acclaimed debut LP Animal Magic. This completely self-produced and mainly self-instrumented album was highlighted by downtempo dub, funk, and an equally likable use of sitars. Animal Magic was an obvious success and plans were quickly made for careful European support appearances, as well as a follow-up album onColdcuts Ninja Tune label in 2001, called Dial M for Monkey. A tour to support the record followed and was documented on the 2005 EP Live Sessions.

Also in 2005, Bonobo contributed to the Solid Steel series, with his Bonobo Presents Solid Steel It Came From The Sea. The release date was scheduled for 10 October, 2005 but was released a week early. The mix features several exclusive tracks as well as remixes and re-edits.

His latest album, entitled Days To Come was released on October 2nd 2006. The first single from the album, Nightlite, featuring vocals by Bajka, was released on August 14th.

Days To Come was voted Best Album of 2006 by Gilles Petersons listeners."

				<p>
"El Barrio" is an award-wining social documentary directed by Melissa Eidson that focuses on Mexico Citys "hot" centric zone as seen through the eyes of the people who live there. Using a hand-held Mini DV camera, this gritty documentary captures life in the hood and contains illuminating and entertaining interviews from over 20 likable characters, who offer tips about survival and recount stories about life on the run. In a recent interview for Show Business Weekly, Eidson said "I made "El Barrio" because I wanted to take a walk through one of Mexico Citys most infamous neighborhoods, TEPITO, a place where the police dont even go. In an environment known to be dangerous and chaotic, we found people who live there by ingenuity, faith, and sheer determination." Eidson has also had several films at the Cannes Film festival in recent years, including El Barrio at the Short Film Corner of the market at Cannes 2006. She also acted in the movie "Battle in Heaven" that was in the Official Selection in competition at Cannes 2005. She recently scooped up the Best
International Documentary Award for El Barrio at the LA portion of the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival (NYIIFVF), which will also be screened at a prime-time slot on the opening weekend of the much-anticipated NYIIFVF in Manhattan, Sunday November 12, 6pm at City Cinemas Village East.

You can purchase Tickets by clicking the tickets icon (TKTS) next to "El Barrio" on the film schedule at -nyfilmvideo This will take you to the appropriate Ticketweb page.
or go to -ticketweb. You can also call Ticketweb at 1-866-468-7619. Tickets are $12.

Stargate Secrets Dan Burisch revisited - Part 1
Las Vegas, June 2007
Those familiar with Project Camelots work will need no further introduction to Dan Burisch. In this second in-depth interview, which arose from our having presented him with a long list of questions of our own, Dan goes into great detail about both the technology and the politics of the Stargates and the Looking Glass. He also discusses the "Cube", which may or may not be the same device as the famed Yellow Book or the Black Box reported by the Project Camelot witness Henry Deacon.

In this fascinating interview we found Dan once more to be outspoken, challenging, informed, values-driven, mischievous, humorous, human and likeable.

We also want to take this opportunity to publish an announcement, as supplied by Marci McDowell, who works closely with Dan. Marci asked us to make the following formal statement on Dans behalf

"Dr. Dan Burisch is on a necessary hiatus from official public contact until later this year. Unfortunately, there is very little that I am allowed to say, regarding what Dan is doing. We have informed the public that he is NOT working for Majestic. Majestic no longer exists. Dan retired from that group in September, 2006.Majestic sat formally adjourned in October, 2005. I can say that Dans present activities are so important, pressing and secret that those in the new group, the group which took over for Majestic at the end of 2006, the group for whom he has agreed to make himself available, sought him out for this assignment and insisted that he have limited to no public contact until after December 14, 2007. This will provide the time for him to complete his activities with them, and be debriefed from the assignment. His present assignment is National Security related. Due to the nature of the assignment, Dan has accepted and been sworn to a National Security Oath."

At the time of the interview Dan was unaware of this, and so this is not mentioned or discussed in the interview. We have no further inside information, but can surmise that at least some of the issues raised in the interview are likely to be connected.

BEFORE you tell me what an awful person I am for making fun of Rob Bell, read this.
I love Rob Bell. Ive seen every one of his videos and think hes an inspirational and likable person. That doesnt mean I dont realize some of the patterns in the way he delivers his message. And I dont see anything wrong with mimicking those patterns for the sake of loving entertainment. I made this video to promote See You at the Pole for my youth group in 2006.
In case you were wondering, the audience at my youth group (100 or so people) all laughed at the video.

Attention celluloid connoisseurs, heres a movie that has that rare blend of outrageous comedy, biting satire, art with substance and spot-on social criticism. This film will have you chuckling and howling, thenthinkinga tad disturbed, but will inevitably leave you with more insight behind what fuels urban decadence. Spoofing the beating of Rodney King by the LAPD, this wickedly witty work exposes many of the root causes and perpetuation of these unfortunate, yet all-too-common incidents in society. Treating people like impersonal objects, distrust, misunderstanding, turf protection and crass commercialism all contribute to the frayed edges, short fuses and lethal disrespect of social intolerance. This movie doesnt just poke fun at racism, the media, political correctness and stereotyping, it throws stiff jabs and roundhouse kicks at the whole shithouseand damn, its funny! It also has the courage to face head on, deep human issues with a twinkle in the eye and tongue-in-cheekeverybodys guilty, yet everybodys cool.

Its a short film, less than an hour-and-a-half, but generates more substance per minute than bloated mainstream blockbusters. It warrants repeated viewing. The production values are not lacking despite a modest film budget and the dialogue is rich in subtlety, revealing the writers depth of understanding of what makes society tick and what makes society sick. I found this refreshing while viewing it and even more so afterwards. Most films that deal with race related issues tend to be unconvincing due to shallowness in either the writing, directing or acting, or all the above.

Though Ive enjoyed the serious intent of films like "Dangerous Minds," "Boyz In the Hood," and "Blackboard Jungle," they never quite convinced me that they had a finger on the pulse of what goes down in the hood. "The L.A. Riot Spectacular," from its comedic perspective, hits much closer to home. Its a hip flick that switches gears seamlessly between highbrow and homeboy in the proper vernacular and with real authority.

The actors do a fine job bringing their obnoxious, yet endearing characters to life. As the story progresses, they undergo transformations and one cant help but laugh at and empathize with their follies. I particularly enjoyed Charles Dutton, as Mayor Bradley and it was fun seeing Ronnie Cox as Police Chief Gates. But I found the whole cast amusing with memorable performances by TK Carter, who plays victim-turned-opportunist, Rodney King; Snoop Dogg lends a likable narration and entertainment presence; Emilio Estevez, still has the best snicker in Hollywood as Officer Powell along with Christopher McDonald as Officer Kuhn. George Hamilton achieves comedic transcendence when he morphs from flaky underdog to ominous overcat. Other notable caricatures were achieved by the actors who portrayed; the lucky slime who filmed the infamous beating on video, the dejected-but-lovable Mexican, the hard-luck-but-good-attitude Korean couple, the impossibly narrow Aryan father and son, the naive-but-mindlessly-dangerous gangstas, the sensational TV news couple with their shameless gall and of course, a blood-sucking lawyer.

Good art asks questions but some art reveals answers and tells you where your feet are. So to writer/director Marc Klasfeld, thanks for the hard work and awesome job! Keep jabbing away. This film will find its audience and make people guffaw for years to come and maybe someday we will, "all get along."

<title>Casablanca - A Tragic Love Story or A Search For Love</title>

				<p>
The story of a great unfulfilled love.

Her eyes plead formally, the memory can not rest.
One song, a single melody and the immortal truth ...

"As Time Goes By"
music and words by Herman Hupfeld

You must remember this
A kiss is just a kiss, a sigh is just a sigh.
The fundamental things apply
As time goes by.

And when two lovers woo
They still say, "I love you."
On that you can rely
No matter what the future brings
As time goes by.

Moonlight and love songs
Never out of date.
Hearts full of passion
Jealousy and hate.
Woman needs man
And man must have his mate
That no one can deny.

Its still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die.
The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

Oh yes, the world will always welcome lovers
As time goes by.

© 1931 Warner Bros. Music Corporation, ASCAP

[ This day and age were living in
Gives cause for apprehension
With speed and new invention
And things like fourth dimension.

Yet we get a trifle weary
With Mr. Einsteins theory.
So we must get down to earth at times
Relax relieve the tension

And no matter what the progress
Or what may yet be proved
The simple facts of life are such
They cannot be removed. ]

Humphrey and Ingrid at the airport. Wherever he goes, she can not go.

Casablanca is very romantic, the dialogue is very peppy and clever, and Bogart is the consummate leading man tough on the outside, but soft on the inside. Bogarts Rick is very much the anti-hero - prone to petty jealousy, and yet always willing to do the right thing at all the right times. Rick is the kind of man that could survive in todays world.
Ingrid Bergmans Ilsa is a likeable heroine - faithful and strong-willed. I liked both of the leads and can easily see how their characters have become so idolized over the years. Theyre both very well-realized, and a lot of attention has been paid to their characterization.

Best lineÂs
Play it, Sam. Play As time goes by.
Where were you last night? Thats so long ago I dont remember. Will I see you tonight? I never make plans that far ahead
"Well Always Have Paris."
"Heres looking at you, kid."
Youll regret it. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.
Louis, I think this will be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
"Louie, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship."

				Film Description

An out of control party leads to a series of problems.

Film History

This segment contains spoilers for episodes 4 and 5. Youve been warned! This is probably my favorite episode out of the first season. I believe it was well written and showcased all of the cast equally. It was an episode I think everyone had fun with. Of course the big thing here was the ending. When Josh and I started writing this series, we knew we wanted to kill one of the characters. Its not because were two morbid bastards (even though we are), it mainly came down to wanting to try something new. As my partner in crime says anyone can do comedy, but to pull off a convincing drama is a challenge. So the decision to kill Chris was made for a couple of reasons. First of all, Chris was one of the main characters. Killing a secondary character like Erin, Kayla, or Nicole wouldnt have made much of an impact (not during this season anyway). Second, Chris was a likeable character. Steven and Joseph are likeable, however Chris was the most down to Earth "nice guy". In the early stages of the series it was decided that we would kill Erin. However, as things progressed, we knew if we were going to do this right, we had to kill Chris.

Anyway, other then the ending, I feel this episode had many memorable moments. Joseph and Kaylas antics are hilarious, meanwhile Steven is confined to the kitchen for the whole episode as stuff ensues around him. The background actors are funny, such as the lonely janitor breaking into Erins room to steal her underwear. And of course we have the "Full House moment" where Erin interacts with her roommate, giving her advice on how to enjoy life. I feel it was a well rounded episode and may sometimes be underrated. Yes, Episode 3 is also a great episode, but this one just has a better feel to it (in my opinion anyway).

As the director for this episode, it was an interesting experience. With 13 actors on the set at the same time, it got a little crazy. With people waiting in the other room to do their scenes and such, things got noisy and so on. However, this also allowed me to step up and actually direct. Staying on top of things and focusing on the goal can be difficult in these situations, but the goal was accomplished. And of course I had help to keep things under control (such as Scott Rojic yelling out "quiet on the set!" before each take). We planned to film the entire episode in one afternoon, however due to bad weather, the scene with Chris and Erin on the swings had to be postponed a week.

The Lawyer Christopher McDonald ... Officer Koon Jonathan Lipnicki ... Tom Saltine Jr. Ted Levine ... Tom Saltine William Forsythe ... George Holliday Ronny Cox ... The Chief Jude Ciccolella ... The Assistant Chief Ron Jeremy . Arrestee Attention celluloid connoisseurs, heres a movie that has that rare blend of outrageous comedy, biting satire, art with substance and spot-on social criticism.

				<p>
Johnson is one of the most recognisable figures in British politics — partly attributable to his trademark unruly hairstyle (one exception to this trademark was during the 2008 Olympics). He is one of few British politicians identifiable by his first name alone. Reportedly, fearing that this familiarity made him more likeable and was helping his chances during the London Mayoral Campaign, Labour MP Tessa Jowell set up a swearbox where any campaign member referring to him as Boris would pay a fine.[57] Jowell herself denied these claims.

Johnson has been a frequent target for satirists. The magazine Private Eye pictured him on the front cover of issues 1120 (26 November 2004) and 1156 (14 April 2006). He has featured regularly in its cartoon gosteri (currently called Dave Snooty and his Pals) as "Boris the Menace" (cf. Dennis the Menace). Online, the news satire website DeadBrain has published over 25 articles mentioning Johnson,[58] and the website Backing Boris spearheads a lighthearted campaign to advance his cause.

He has shown himself to be outspoken on issues which are treated by some as belonging to the realms of political correctness.

Johnson made the following comments about Islam in his Spectator column shortly after the July 7 bombings in 2005

...It will take a huge effort of courage and skill to win round the many thousands of British Muslims who are in a similar state of alienation, and to make them see that their faith must be compatible with British values and with loyalty to Britain. That means disposing of the first taboo, and accepting that the problem is Islam. Islam is the problem.

To any non-Muslim reader of the Koran, Islamophobia — fear of Islam — seems a natural reaction, and, indeed, exactly what that text is intended to provoke. Judged purely on its scripture — to say nothing of what is preached in the mosques — it is the most viciously sectarian of all religions in its heartlessness towards unbelievers. [...]

The trouble with this disgusting arrogance and condescension [of Theo Van Goghs killer] is that it is widely supported in Koranic texts, and we look in vain for the enlightened Islamic teachers and preachers who will begin the process of reform. What is going on in these mosques and madrasas? When is someone going to get 18th century on Islams mediaeval ass?[59]

In Friends, Voters, Countrymen (2001), Johnson wrote that "if gay marriage was OK - and I was uncertain on the issue - then I saw no reason in principle why a union should not be consecrated between three men, as well as two men, or indeed three men and a dog."[60] In recent years Johnson has played down his previous support for Section 28.[61]

Johnson is known for his love of cycling and regularly cycles to work. He has been the victim of several bike thefts and has expressed his desire to plant "decoy bicycles throughout Islington and send Navy Seals in through the windows of thieves". [62]

Here is another blast from the past, the subject of this video is something that rears its head from time to time in this country, usually when Australians wish to naval gaze &amp; reflect on who they were, what are they now &amp; what they want to be in the future. I refer to the debate over one of the greatest pieces of symbolism which means so much to so few, but can reflect on so many in the fullness of time. A subject that greatly interests this author, the need for Constitutional change { personally I see no real reason for change, but am realistic enough to believe it will most probably happen one day }

This video archival footage comes from ABC TVs Carleton Walsh Report &amp; was transmitted in 1987 it features an interview between the late &amp; very much personally lamented Mr. Richard Carleton &amp; the late Donald Horne, author of The Lucky Country &amp; God Is An Englishman along with many other works, Horne was born in the same NSW country town as my Mother &amp; therefore has always been of some interest to me, apart from his considerable mind.

There was a degree of excitement among certain circles at this time over what might be &amp; what might not be changed in The Australian Constitution, time has shown very little has changed.

Although The Australia Act 1986 was a defining alteration to The Constitution, which I was in agreement with, but am happy to leave changes at this.
One slight misinterpretation of this act was that many people thought appeals to The Privy Council were now ended, but this was not &amp; is not the case to the present day, as shown in Section 74 of The Current Australian Constitution, pasted here &amp; partly highlighted in caps -

74. No appeal shall be permitted to the Queen in Council from a decision of the High Court upon
any question, howsoever arising, as to the limits inter se of the Constitutional powers of the
Commonwealth and those of any State or States, or as to the limits inter se of the Constitutional
powers of any two or more States, UNLESS THE HIGH COURT SHALL CERTIFY THAT THE
QUESTION IS ONE WHICH OUGHT TO BE DETERMINED BY HER MAJESTY IN COUNCIL.
The High Court may so certify if satisfied that for any special reason the certificate should be
granted, and thereupon an appeal shall lie to Her Majesty in Council on the question without
further leave.
Except as provided in this section, this Constitution shall not impair any right which the Queen
may be pleased to exercise by virtue of Her Royal prerogative to grant special leave of appeal from the High Court to Her Majesty in Council. The Parliament may make laws limiting the matters in which such leave may be asked, but proposed laws containing any such limitation shall be reserved by the Governor-General for Her Majestys pleasure.

The above information may help persons who wish to seek further determination of certain legal outcomes, as we all know frustrations abound over some Court decisions, but to get such a determination from Australias High Court would be extremely difficult, but in theory it is still possible.

As for the players in this video, both on &amp; off camera. Where are they now ? -

Max Walsh - Works At The Bulletin Magazine.

Richard Carleton - Died on the job in Tasmania while working for the TV program 60 Minutes, May 2006.

Donald Horne - Died in 2005 A fellow one did not necessary agree with, but a most impressive intellectual nether the less.

Angela Pearman - Barrister At Law In Sydney, seen in Part Two with a rare on air smile { must have liked the raconteuring of Max Walsh in this instance } this woman was boned from The ABC a few years ago, she performed News Reading duties on that TV station for many years.

Lionel Bowen - Still lives in Sydney, an interesting Labour Man &amp; a very unpretentious fellow.

Mike Bailey - Until recently an ABC Weather Man { as seen in Part Two } &amp; likeable bloke, but failed ALP Candidate from Election 2007, yes there were some ! As Joe Hockey managed to hold his seat of North Sydney which leads me to point out a strange synchronicity. Richard Carleton { Part One } in this clip mentions that Lionel Bowen while in Canberra chose as his digs a relatives converted garage, this was repeated by the former Defence Minster &amp; Current Federal Opposition Leader, Dr. Brendan Nelson who while in Canberra stayed at Joe Hockeys garage, or shed.

This "procedure of infraction" comes asked from the WWF for Milazzo also as a result of the enthusiasm provoked from the "Festivity of the organized Spring" in the days of 5 saturdays and Sunday 6 you open them from the Association "the Giglio" in lands of the Lucifero Foundation. Hundreds of adults and children have joyfully been able to play and to admire the beauties of the Head of Milazzo guides to you from the entertainers of the Association. Games of ability, north wind flights, competitions of design and lessons of art circense better scene could not find if not between the ulivi and the Mediterranean spot of the Lucifero Foundation to whose inside falls back zone SIC. Between the participants to the likeable and poetica manifestation (between which a group skillful various coming from from Nizza of Sicily) one is, moreover, opened a debate on the guardian necessity of the Cape in adapted way, walking between the cultivations of ulivi and lives, by now abandoned, until admiring the mozzafiato panorama of Tip Mace and of the Beach of Gravel. The WWF of continuous Milazzo to assert the principle that the institution of the Reservoir Natural of Milazzo Head can be the best one of the shapes than safeguard of the Cape, integrating other initiatives ecosostenibile that do not involve modifications of the places.

The LA Riot Spectacular Director Marc Klasfeld Writer Marc Klasfeld (writer) Release Date 18 November 2006 (Japan) more Genre Comedy Plot "The L.A. Riot Spectacular", an equal opportunity offender, is a surreal, funny, and provocative view of the participants and psychology that fueled the epochal 1992 events Snoop Dogg ... The Narrator T.K. Carter ... Rodney Charles S. Dutton ... The Mayor (as Charles Dutton) Emilio Estevez ... Officer Powell George Hamilton ... The King of Beverly Hills Charles Durning ... The Lawyer Christopher McDonald ... Officer Koon Jonathan Lipnicki ... Tom Saltine Jr. Ted Levine ... Tom Saltine William Forsythe ... George Holliday Ronny Cox ... The Chief Jude Ciccolella ... The Assistant Chief Ron Jeremy . Arrestee Attention celluloid connoisseurs, heres a movie that has that rare blend of outrageous comedy, biting satire, art with substance and spot-on social criticism.
